We woke up this morning and listend to the weather and found out that it was supposed to be a nice day in Bonner Springs Kansas so we got the kids up, I made muffins and packed us a picnic lunch and off we headed off for a 2hour car ride to the Renaissance Festival.. I had not ever been before and was not entirely sure what to expect.. Other than the fact that it was terribly muddy from the rain they got last night it was pretty ok.. I was just not found of walking through the mud..LOL It was horrible in some spots and ok in others so I lived to tell about it.. LOL

I really wanted to be able to see and do more, but with 7 kids in tow and wanting to do other things it was kinda hard, I did get to see the whole Jousting thing and it was pretty good. Hubby and I are planning to go next year by ourselves one weekend to see and do the things we want to see and do.. For the most part the kids did really well, but there is only so much a couple of 5 year olds can take before they become tired, cranky and wanna nap.. Then you have a 12 and 13 year old that like to pick at one another and then you get a couple more in the mix and it makes for a terribly pleasent car ride.. NOT.. LOL Oh well it was a pretty good trip all in all and we even had a lady give us the 2 tickets we needed to buy for free as we were walking across the parking lot.. What a blessing..So other than gas I think we spend about 30 bucks to go..

Ok well I have almost everyone in bed and asleep. So I am waiting on the washer so I can put everyone's hoodies in the dryer since they all got muddy today then I am off to bed..
