Good Morning.. I have been up and going hard and fast this morning.. Today is Joslyn and Lana's trip to our state capitol in Jefferson City so they had to be at school early. got them up and off and started a load of laundry. I have done dishes, laundry, trash, kids off to school, and I am getting ready to walk, take a shower, have quiet time and head off to work. I just want to say that I do not know how some people do it. They seeem to be grumpy people all the time. You try to talk to some people and it is like talking to a tree and yet you know that they can and do talk. It is like hello at least me nice and have some manners about yourself. What is funny to me is these people who act like that towards us usually have no real good reason why they do it. I have found that some people act this way when you choose to be your own person and they want you to be a puppet on a string. Let me just say that I was once a puppet on a string and I am so much better off now, I used to have bad self esteem and I had a lady tell me the other day that I am so much better than I was a year ago.. Woohoo the sun is shining and it is windy out, but it is supposed to get up to 72 or so today.. I am excited about that.. I have flowers blooming and I know that spring is upon us and that just makes life better.. Today is a catch up day for me here at home.. I have some laundry to catch up and I need to do the supper dishes from last night.. Just enjoy the day.. Our houseguest went home today. It was nice to have her here. The girls really enjoyed it, but she needed to get home so be gone with her now.. LOL She is a good girl.. I am going to make some cookies today.. My friend gave me a recipe for homemade doughnuts this am so I am thinking about making doughnuts for the kids too. I have several plans and ideas here. I helping a friend in her store a few hours a week so that is fun. I am so excited about things right now.. Well I better get off here for now, but I will be back soon... God Bless, Mars |

This morning was so very fun. My friend Amy Jo had a bad night last night and so she did not make it to the brunch another friend Tammy had to take her daughter to the dr, however My friends Tammy and Cara came up and we ate and ate and ate then we talked and talked then ate and ate some more. While we were talking Cara said that her grandma or great grandma had lived next door a longtime ago and she was wondering how it was there now, so I called up my neighbor Shally and told her what was going on and so she called me back a few minutes later and we were able to go over so Cara could see the house years later.. It is a neat old house that has lots of character and needs some work which Shally and her hubby are doing bit by bit. Anyway it was neat and Shally sent Cara home with a box of things letters and such that had belonged to people in her family.. We did a devotion and just had some good food and fellowship and it was wonderful and I can't wait to do it again. I think next time we are going to have a tasting party and everyone can bring their fave snack food or something.. Anyway I just wanted to share what a great time we had and what a blessing it was to be able to have these girls in my house to talk to and fellowship with...

Wowsers today has been a long long day for me, but it has been a good day.. I am working on laundry and getting things ready for tomorrow's brunch. I am so excited about the brunch.. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited and it is now supposed to be sunny tomorrow which makes it even better.. My menu is planned and I am going to get up in the am and make it and get ready for the fun..WOOHOO The kids are all tucked in bed and it is so quiet here the water in the fish tank is behind me and it sounds so peaceful.. I am thankful for this quiet moment I have to be able to check in you with my friends. I ask that you be in prayer for our brunch, I know that we are looking for fellowship with other moms and I pray that God will be glorified in us. Well I better get ready for bed.. The sun is shining and it is beautiful out today.. We got up early and went to soccer games and then to wal-mart and hyvee to get some groceries and home.. I have to say how much I love shopping once a month.. I do a major shopping on the 4th or the 5th of every month and then only pick up milk and gresh fruits and veggies as needed. I love knowing that like today although it makes it a really long and tiring day it is all worth it to get my stuff done for the month. We have toilet paper, paper towels, soaps and I order my meds at the beginning of the month and wallah it is good. I am having a brunch at my house next week with some friends and I am so excited. I am making egg and ham muffins, little smokies wrapped in bacon with brown sugar, mustard a bit of water.. Oh my these are wonderful, fruit and cinnamon rolls. This is so exciting for me.. Well I am going to rest for a bit as I am tired tired tired.. Have a wonderul afternoon, I might rest on the porch in the sun reading my book.. God Bless, Mars |

Wow can you believe that it is the first of April already?? I can't either. It was like 75 here yesterday and today it is not even to 40 degrees.. BBBBBBRRRRRRRRR.. I have been busy today... I have done laundry, made cookies, chocolate Chip, oatmeal and oatmeal raisin. I have the supper stuff laid out and ready to cook, I have done dishes and done a few other things.. I am getting ready to head to town here in just a bit..WOOHOO I want it to warm back up and stay warm here. I am, ready for spring.. So how is everyone doing?? I am going to get started on some Christmas projects and I am going to have a few ladies over for brunch next week and do a Bible Study.. If anyone has any good studies you would like to share with me please let me know.. Well I gotta run for now.. TTYL God bless |

Hi there everyone.. I have been spring cleaning around here like crazy. In the living room I have cleaned off the mantle, dusted, cleaned the fake flowers, wipe down window sills and woodwork, vaccumed and moved the the furniture and cleaned out the couch.. Dining room.. Dusted the china cabinet, cleaned under the puter desk, swept, wiped down and made it look neat and tidy. Today I am going to do the entry way Pick up shoes and put away, hang coats up, get rid of things that are there we don't need or use, vaccum and wipe down, clean glass door and change kitty litter. Little boys room let's just say a MAJOR overhaul Oh yes and in my room I have been going through it and getting rid of things along with dusting and vacccuming... That is about it for now.. Hi there.. How is everyone?? We are all doing well here.. Sorry it has been so long since I posted. I have been busy here at home with the kids and it being spring and such.. I have gotten lots of stuff done around here and I am so ready for spring to be sprung all the way lol.. Soon the school year will be over and I can't wait.. I know the kids are ready. I have 4 boys out of 5 playing ball this summer and quite possibly 2 girls playing. We love softball season here.. Our family loves to attend the games and get together with friends.. We are very blessed to have friends to get togehter with on a regular basis and my hubby's family is always wanting us to come see them or come see us and such.. It is such a nice feeling to be loved and wanted. I feel very blessed that my hubby's family has accepted my kids and I just like we were always a part of the family in fact when the kids are with their dad and unable to attend a family get together they ask about the kids and tell us how they miss them and usually send a little something home for them... I know people are not always like that.. So what has everyone been up too since I have been away?? I gotta go get some laundry washed.. Loook for more posts from me coming soon... God bless |

The Quirkier the Better I got this from my friend Amy Jo 1. I can only fall asleep if I have one foot out from under the covers. I turn the electric blanket on and get all wrapped up and stick a foot out.. IF I don't my foot gets all clausterphoic and suffocated.. 2. I need for everything in my kitchen cabinets to be lined up and in order, neat and clean and when it isn't it drives me crazy.. Like now I go down to the pantry because my cabinets need to be cleaned out. 3 I make sure to take a book, magazine or paper into the bathroom with me even if I just need to go pee pee.. Somedays this is the only time I get to read so I use my time wisely and read and potty at the time.. 4. I am always moving my legs or hands.. I just can't stand still. My hubby will say honey please stop tapping.. I think I have RLS, or RHS. 5. I like to clean the toilet.. You know I have a hard time throwing up at all, but if the stool is dirty I will gag and throw up.. 6. I like to run around in my house shoes whereever I go.. In fact with house shoes or flipflops are great with me and throw in my jammies and I got it made.. However I can and do like to go the opposite and dress nice too.. 7. I too sing in the car or shower and I haev a good friend whom I will not mention by name that has told me maybe I should not ought to do that anymore where people can hear me.. Boo and I so like singing.. 8. I tell you I get so irritated with people who say the are going to do something and they do not do it. What I want to do then is give them a taste of their own medicine, but intstead I kill them with kindness. 9. I love to be really nice to people that I know might not care for me or want me around so I will go out of my way to be nice to them and make sure that know I am nice even though they are not. I am hoping that someday they will learn by example.. 10. I have this thing with numbers if I have ever read your number or called you I will always know it. I know peoples license plates and well I am just a number freak.. LOL
Gotta run, but I am sure after I talk to Amy I will have to edit this so check back..

Well I am about to start the dishwasher, take a shower and get ready to go out.. Today is grocery and errand day and I want to get it all done as early as possible today.. I have a load of laundry in the washer and dryer each and about 1 more maybe 2 waiting to be done and I am caught up from having the kids home all weekend playing in the mud.. LOL I mean it was like almost 70 degrees so they needed to be out in the fresh air, but we are in mud heaven right now due to all the snow and rain we have been blessed with this winter... A friend of mine recently moved from just outside of town into our town. Yesterday she wanted me to help her with some stuff and I was like ok, so she came by and picked me up and the first stop was to be at her old house to get a couple of things and check the mailbox.. First off her old road is right next to the river and the river is up, but not to the road yet......... however if you read the first part you know we are in mud heaven so we are headed down the road and before we could get 1/2 down the road a rut sucked us in and we were stuck and I do mean stuck... We sat there for at least a 1./2 hour waiting for her friends hubby to come pull us out.. LOL I never knew you could go mudding in a minivan.. Then we went to her house and well we got caught up in playing a sims game on her puter.. Then I went and got her kids and mine afterschool and brought them here to play and make cookies until my ballplayers left.. Made supper and stayed home from the games because they were late with the 3 little guys and they had so much fun together, then bedtime and half hour of peace and the ballgamers came home.. LOL I am very tired this am as I was up and down allnight with the woodstove, but tonight hubby gets to take it over again.. YAHOOO.. Well I gotta run I have rambled on enough for now.. As I sit and think about my grocery shopping for the month of March. I have decided to take inventory of what I have in my pantry and to replenish my pantry and freezer, then I am going to make my menu for March according to that stuff. I want to be well prepared and ready if the economy should get worse. I know what I like to make and we eat so this month it is STOCK up Month. That means a heftier cart full of things than normal, but that is ok with me.. I am a from scratch cook anyway so for me to be stocked up is a great asset. I have always been a very frugal person, but I am being even more so right now in life. I know that somedays when I am down a bit I think wow if only I could just go out and buy this or this or that I would feel so much better, however I know that would not make me feel anybetter so I feel blessed to be able to cook from scratch, sew, stay at home and stretch my dollars till the scream. I feel blessed that I do not have the option to just run out on a whim and buy a bunch of stuff because I *think* it will make me feel better. I save and scrimp partly because I have to, but mostly because I WANT to as I think it makes me a better steward of what the Lord has blessed me and my family with.. Anyway I am going to change up a few things and try to work it out to be more frugal. If you have any ideas please pass them on and I am going to look at the way I think about things and see if there is a better way.. Have a wonderful day.. God Bless, Mars |

For 2 days in a row it has been so nice.. Today it is a bit windy, but the temp is wonderful.. I had the kids go out and clean up the yard today and they are all outside playing and I have the doors open so the sun can shine in and it is just amazing.. I know that we are in March now so that means that spring can't be that far away and so I am like woohoo getting antsy for it.. The sun keeps peeking out and I know there is a chance of rain today, but I am hoping the Lord blows it so it goes around. Our ground is so soaked from all the rain, sleet, snow and etc that it is so muddy everywhere.. I think that with the wind blowing as it is today it will dry up somewhat as long as it doesn't go ahead and rain.. Please pray for a dry day here today..:) I am cleaning house like a mad woman today.. I am starting the whole spring cleaning deal. I have more to do plus I need to get my menu and grocery list ready for March as I am going to the grocery on Tuesday.. Well I hope ya'll have a wonderful and blessed Sunday.. God Bless Mars |

I have officially been diagonsed with.... . . . . . . . . The crud... I have felt pretty rough for a coupe of days and yesterday and most of today it took all I had to be able to get out of bed to go to the bathroom, so this am I woke up got the kids off and called the dr. I got there at 10:30 and she said yep it is the crud more sinus than flu, but even if it was the flu I had felt to bad for to many days to get tamiflu.. How about a shot in the backside she asks and I said yes please.. Got my shot came home went to bed woke up a few hours later did laundry, made a pie and supper oh yeah and went to my daughters ballgame.. I am begining to feel a bit run down so I am going to take my meds and go to bed and hopefully by tomorrow I will be way better.. I have baking to do for tomorrow's ballgame raffles . Please pray for me and pray that my children all stay healthy.. Keep praying for Amy Jo aka gabbie427 and her little Noah.. God Bless Mars |

The sun is shining here and I am so thankful.. I know that it is supposed to be warmer today which is just great with me.. I am still not feeling the best so I am staying in and resting today.. I need to clean my bathroom today it is the only room I have not gotten done so far.. I will muster up the energy to clean it today. It is driving me crazy already so I better get it done today..LOL I hope that you all are having a wonderful Sunday so far. My hubby got up and made us french toast for breakfast this am and it was yummo.. He put cherries and powdered sugar atop of it and it was really yummy. brings a couple of thoughts to mind about our lives as Christians.. I have driven past and can look out my window and see where the snow is still untouched and in perfect condition. That is like us when we are first born. Clean sinless for the time being. I can look out my window and see footprints in the snow which to me says well it is not as pure as it was at first, which to me signifies us as we get older and start to sin more. Then in other places you can look and see the dirt and mud in the snow where it has been plowed or driven through and that represents us without Christ in our lives. He wants us to be clean and pure like the fresh fallen snow, but He knows that because of our sin nature we cannot be.. We are born innocent and then we grow and sin and then we come to God.. I also want to say to young people today that I think snow makes a cool analysis for staying pure till you are married. Think of it this way when God leads you and your mr/miss right do you want to give him/her a pure wonderful gift that God has given to you to share with that one person or would you rather give him/her a dirty unclean already been used gift like the snow on the side of the road that is all dirty and nasty?? I wish I had been taught more about all of this when I was younger, but I wasn't. I talk to my kids about this alot and pray that they make the choice to stay pure and clean for the ONE person God has for them.. It really is I believe the best and I applaud those who have done it the right way.. God Bless, Mars |

My friend Amy Jo.. aka Gabbie427 is very ill with the flu.. She went to the dr yesterday and her test came back positive.. I have a tight chest, a cough and my throat is hurting a bit.. I feel a little rough and slept in this am.. I will probably go back and lay down here in just a bit.. I had heard that our county is just like infected with this flu stuff and for that reason alone I have tried to stay in as much as possible. Of course our school was closed for a couple of days due to the flu and I know at least one or two have tested postitive for influenza.. It is terrible to get.. Please say a prayer for Amy Jo and her little guy Noah who is also a bit sick and for her big guy Matt as he is home taking care of them again today. Please say a prayer for the others around here who are also sick and please say a prayer for me that I feel better soon.. I am going to get off here for now, but I will try to be back on in a little while... God Bless, Mars |

We ended up going to a mexican resturaunt in town and eating last night. It was pretty good. We talked, laughed and make sure we were all kinda on the same page concerning the kids and what we all need to do to make sure they have the best of both parents and have the morals and standards we all want for our children. We talked about taking them to church and all kinds of things.. My ex husband was a bit uncomfortable with it all, but did really well. Chris and i talked and I think that we will be able to get along just fine. God is working and it is truly amazing to see what all is transpiring during all of this. I never thought that my ex hubby, new hubby and ex hubby's almost wife would ever sit down and talk and get along. I give all the praise to God Almighty for this.. Please keep us in your prayers. Please pray for my ex hubby and his almost wife as they get married on the 29th and travel for their honeymoon.. Thank you in advance. God Bless, Mars |

Joslyn woke up today with a fever and a sore throat so we are heading to the dr this afternoon. She looks and feels rough and so she is resting till time to go to the dr. Bless her heart she feels like poop. I am hoping that everyone does not get it.. Although I am sure it is going to be hard to prevent it since there are 10 of us and my hubbby isn't feeling very well and a couple others are starting to get coughs.. So this could prove to be interesting.. :) I am having a horrible time with my sinuses, however I know when spring gets here they will dry up.. LOL Well also please keep praying for my friend Tammy and her family and espcially little Zachary Elijah who is been really conjested and sick again.. Thank you in advance for your prayers.. today or tomorrow due to illness. Our school only has 55 students and 16 or 17 were gone yesterday which I believe was a 29% absentee rate. That is too big of a rate to keep the school open so we have closed for a couple of days to hopefully recover. Right now we are all well. Praise the Lord. I am going to take a pot of chicken noodle soup over to my friend Tammy who lost her brother last week. Her baby is really sick and I had some soup. So I am going to make banana bread today and some cookies to keep these kids full for the next day and a 1/2. I will take Tammy a loaf od the bread also... The kids are all playing and having fun so I am here trying to catch up on a few things.. I am getting ready to finish posting, go get the stuff in the oven, clean my room and then do some sewing..
