Chickens
I was reading Barnyard in Your Backyard yesterday about raising chickens. Boy, it sounds complicated. I thought I would get me some chickens and eat me some eggs.... but nooooo.... so much info on types of chickens, what you are using them for, housing, nesting, perching, diseases, food, supplements.... It made my head spin. But then I thought. I bet if I read a book about getting a cat or dog if I knew nothing about them, it would sound overwhelming as well. Yes, you live and learn, but so far things have gone pretty smoothly. Don't be detoured. Fresh eggs are well worth the effort and chickens are pretty forgiving.
