Ice...again

Today we woke up to ice, again. Dh has to drive in it, as he is a mail carrier. I spent the morning in prayer as there were times when it was pouring down ice. We then had some snow, sleet and freezing rain. Thank the Lord, dh was safe and made it home ok. We are suppossed to get alot more tonight, so tomorrow maybe more dangerous than today...sigh....

Ds 12 finger is healing. There is still a black line in it, not sure what that is. I am thinking it is a bruise. 

Got my garden started on Monday. Planted sweet peas, spinach, lettuce, potatoes, garlic and oninons. So excited. I have a ton more to plant as it gets warmer. I hope I am able to put up a bunch this fall. I have never canned before and am looking forward to it. 

Haven't ordered chickens yet. Need to get a coop built first. We will wait till it is warmer and when Dh gets the time to put together a coop. Need to find some blueprints for one as my guys are not builders. 

Ds 12 sold all of his video game consoles and games to pay for the cell phone bill. We were glad he was able to sell them. I pray he has learned his lesson.

With spring around the corner, our busy schedules start up again. Music lessons, sports, sunday school teaching and other church events, homeschool co-op field trips and events. ***sigh*** I love staying busy but would much rather just stay busy here on the homestead. I know though that when the Lord calls us we must go. So I will go and be the thankful, joyful, blessed servant He has called me to be.
