A New Year
Well 2008 has come and gone. I can't believe it!! We had a wonderful Christmas. Grandparents spoiled the kids with video game systems so I can say the remainder of our holiday vacation was quiet as they were plugged into their games!
School starts back up for us tomorrow. I have spent the evening writing out our lesson plans for the week. I am sad to see our vacation come to an end :(
Back to healthy eating! Good grief our Christmas goodies seemd to have a bottomless pit. I still have a few ziplocks of homemade candies that I'm thinking about throwing out! The kids have been on a sugar high for weeks now. I'm sure it will be fun trying to get them to sit down and focus on schoolwork tomorrow. Praying the sugar withdrawls won't last long and by the end of the week they will have finished at least one of their lessons
Our oldest son received from us his most wanted weight set. I got hubby his wanted inflatable punching tower so now the workouts have begun for us. I have hit the treadmill and am determined to shed these gained pounds!!
Yesterdays temps were in the 70's so we headed to the park. Hubby and boys played football, daughter rode her bicycle and I ended up walking the dog.....and managed to take a few pictures with my new camera (gift from hubby). Todays high however didn't get out of the 30's!! So we stayed indoors.
Will try to get back to regular postings once we get back into a regular school schedule :)
Happy 2009 everyone!!!

I just read over your blog ~~it has been a little while since I have taken the time to read many other blogs. Nice tree skirt you made.Looks like you have been having fun with sewing. I love to sew too.
I thought when I read that you stayed inside cause it was in the 30's ~~wow what a difference perspectives are~~Here we are thinking whoopee its only -5 or -2 which would be close to 30 in farenheit We have had temps in the -30's and -40's (-49) without wind chill Well we live through it and so do the animals but it is so warm the last couple of days that we are just loving it. The little chickadees are sure loving it. Happy schooling!
