Baking

Yesterday to go along with our Thanksgiving unit study my ds 8 helped make cranberry nut bread. Today I made Pearsauce...instead of applesauce, I had some pears that needed to be used up. It is very good.

Just cut and peeled three pears, put them into a small saucepan along with about a 1/2 cup or less of sugar cane crystals, mashed them up and brought it to a boil then added some ginger, cloves and cinnamon.

never heard of pearsauce. Only applesauce. But I will have to try that if we have some too-mushy-for-me pears in the fridge!
Great idea!
love and blessings!

I have a pear tree and typically make some pear sauce each year. Very similar to applesauce and you can use it the same ways. That is fun that you were able to do that.
