Our life is so blessed!  I just love life!   My kids are healing from their past.  They are loosing so many of the adoption/abuse issues and what I deal with daily are kids issues.  :)  Those I can handle.   I think in part God has helped my attitude in dealing so that I don't get as frustrated.

I got a new picture of the kids and Mocha today.

Can you tell they are posing her?   She is so rotten!   Believe it or not the little one can lead her around.  They had put the halter on her this morning to lead her across the barn.  I want her to understand she isn't the boss.  She does pretty good with it.

Spring has sprung.  If you don't believe me just ask the peafowl, ducks and geese!!!  Sex education is taking place everywhere out here.   The peafowl are the funniest.  They like to strut their stuff on the porch!   The older males have LONG beautiful tail feathers that make an awesome fan almost 5 ft tall.  While they young males do not have anything other than stubby female looking feathers.   When they do the fan it leaves a lot lacking.  I think the two older males have come to an agreement, one has the front side of the house and the other one the back.  You seldom see both of them on the same side.

Tomorrow we are heading to a park day.  We are going to take lunch and just hang out with friends for the day.  Since the wind is suppose to BLOW it may not be a great day, but I bet we adjust :)  We are suppose to have red flag warning tomorrow.  Please keep all of W. Texas in prayer it is a large area that will have a very real and very high chance of fires.  With wind gust to 45 mph you can see how fast a fire would travel.

I think they are having a field day at our house next week.  My friend decided some of her city friend's kids needed the experience.  Stuff like getting squirted with milk.  :)  Her idea!  Not mine.  :)  The can pet the calves, the goats and maybe milk a cow or at least see it done.   It will be fun.   Of course they may get poop on their shoes, and be grossed out when something has to go. :)  Of course back to it being spring.   We have LOTS of hens and roosters that live and propagate around the barn.  It should be fun!  Want come?

All have a blessed day!   If you think about it please continue to pray for my cow, she is still down. It is her baby in the picture at the top with the kids.

About Me

Just want to share the joys and tears of living in the country with others that understand them both. I am mom to 5 children. Two biological and three adopted. We are praying for one more adopted soon. We live 40 miles from town on 117 acres. My days are full of homeschooling children and dealing with livestock. Life is never dull or boring or "normal" what ever normal is. I ramble on here often, some times more than once a day as this is my main form of socialization with adults during the day. Hope to make some new friends here.
