This sounds like a really neat way to make some new friends and get to know each other better.

What we are to do is share some about us on our blog then post a link on Kris's blog to ours. That way all of us can get to know each other better. If you want to join in follow the link above she explains it MUCH better than I do!
OK here are my answers to the questions for today!
- Give some general info about your family: # of kids and ages (if you feel comfortable giving that info out), # of years as a SAHM, does your husband work at home or outside the home? I have a blessed family of 5 kids so for. We are looking to adopt at least one more. I have 2 grown boys, 21 and 23. I have 3 "littles" 6, 10 and 11. They aren't very "little" any more. I have 2 wonderful daughters in love. I have a new grand baby that lives next door and a step grand daughter that loves to come visit me. See I am blessed!
I have been a SAHM forever! I only worked a couple of years early in our marriage. Because of chronic fatigue my dh and I made the decision for me to stay home before kids. My dh works LONG hours outside the home. He has about a 40 minute drive every day. He leaves the house about 6 and if he is home by 7 at night we wonder if he is sick.
- Do you work in or outside of the home? If so, how many hours per week and what is your schedule like? Does the barn count as outside the home? If it counts, then I do work outside the home! I spend 1-4 hours a day depending on what is happening at the barn, or in the goat pen.
- What helps you get through your week? Do you use a planner or "to-do" list? Are you organized or do you fly by the seat of your pants? I fly by the seat of my pants, and yes, I have holes in them to prove it! I use to think I wasn't organized, but I have come to understand I am organized, just not in the way I see so many. I don't use planners, or to do list. I do have a mental to do list. I may make a note of something that isn't "routine", but for day to day I do what needs doing most. Never everything I want or even think I need to.
- Do your children help around the house? chores? cooking? If they don't do much, do you wish they did more? I am a big one on teaching responsibility and that is chores and all that it takes to run a house. Male or female you get to learn to cook, learn to clean, learn to fix fence, learn to milk........
- What do you want to do better? What area of your life is a stumbling block for you? Would you like prayer for a specific thing this week? Do better??? keep my house more clean and organized, less clutter. Prayer is a powerful tool/gift sure I would love to have specific things prayed for and return the favor for others.
Everyone have a blessed day! |
