Did I mention the wind is really blowing? So for it hasn't stirred up my allergies though! They say it is blowing 20 mph with gust to 35 or so. Hummm I think it is worse than that here. As it is HOWLING.
I brought one more baby to the barn this morning. Just when I make the mistake of saying I think we are done with babies. This one probably is one of those that mother nature was dealing with in her harsh but good for the species way. He has what is know as parrot mouth. If you look at a parrots mouth, how the top jaw is way over the bottom one, that is how this baby is. My guess is he couldn't nurse the nanny. Yes, I stepped in and will try and save him. The upside is it is a boy so won't be reproducing this genetic problem. I can fix that :). He didn't get the colostrum in the first 12 hours which lessons his chances of making it. I saw them last night when I checked. Mama was still cleaning them.
Kids and I made whole wheat muffins for breakfast, snack or what ever. I had way to many bananas that were over ripe. I added all of them. I decided to add some nuts, but only had flax seed and sunflower seeds so I added that! Should be interesting. They are cooking now. I love this recipe I have yet to make bad muffins. I have also never made them the same twice!
DH is sick today. Not sure if his week at work is getting to him or if he is taking the cold bug I have had. He just aches all over. Good thing we didn't have plans for today. He can vegs out and rest. Maybe he will feel like going to church tomorrow. I hate it when he is sick. He is one of these guys that NEVER gets sick, but when he does, boy does he make up for the times he didn't!
Muffins are about done so I am off to eat! All have a blessed day!
