Temperature is 37 degrees. About the same as when we went to bed. It rained all night, not much just enough to see it dripping off the house. I know it was all night because I kept waking up coughing. Each time it was dripping off the house. We really need the rain. We were blessed with lots of rain this summer but this fall the rain stopped. I don't think we have any a drop since Aug. It looks muddy out. I am thinking where I put my mud boots. I also want my coveralls to go do chores.
Smmagers I would love to trade weather with you! I can do 90 with a lot less whining than 40! I know this to will pass and it will again be warm and sunny and dry. I am trying to be thankful for the rain.
I am taking turkey soup to church today. I started it yesterday and we all got full before I added the gravy, (left over from Thanksgiving) to make it a cream of turkey soup. Just to many choices of leftovers around here! I think I will also dig out the sweet potatoes and take them. DH mixed his and mine so I am not interested in eating any. He puts sugar and marshmallows and cinnamon on his besides butter. I like mine plain with LOTS of butter. That would get rid of one more leftover. Maybe a pie or two also. Can you tell I am trying to clean up leftovers?
I am praying my cold is on the road to recovery. I have really felt yucky the last 2 days. I know I healed it at bay and pushed on Thursday so it was probably worse on Friday and Sat. Today I seem to feel better. I haven't done chores yet though. That wipes me out when I feel like this. Last night my "help" was no help and I finally lost it and sent them to the house. I would rather do it alone than fight over what needs doing. I'm not even sure I want them at the barn today. I know bad attitude. I find peace at the barn usually. I am overwhelmed right now with babies, but when they are eating easier it will again be peaceful. Anyone want to come spend a week with me playing with baby lambs and goats?
OK procrastination is over! Time to go get cold and wet and muddy. Everyone have a blessed day! |
