Iron sharpeneth iron, so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17)  That's the Bible verse at the top of my page today.  I am blessed in I have friends that sharpen me.  Yet, love me and listen and are there to cry with me.  I know I am a better person because of the friends I have.  They have grown me as I strive to be more like them.  Over the years I have found that they really aren't on the pedestal I thought when we first became friends.  They have warts too!  It makes me feel a lot better when I find that out.   They have days they don't get school done, OK weeks.  They have days that they scream at their kids.  They have struggles that until you know them well you don't know about.   I am privileged to know them and share those struggles.  Today I had a friend call me feeling down.  I felt so blessed she called me to just chat.  Made my day!  Then a little while later I had some stuff come up and needed an ear to just listen and cry with me.  So  I called her back.  She is the one person I knew would get what I was dealing with.  God put her in my life many years ago.  For years we were friends then we became FRIENDS.  Now we are even closer much more like sisters.  Which neither of us have ever had in our families!  Thank You my friend for sharpening me in so many ways through the years.
