Mom's Adventure

• Tuesday, November 6, 2007 - Tuesday I think :)

The days seem to run together.  Not much going on here but school and goats.  I know my son loves me!  He again brought stuff to me.  This time ewes!  About 40.   He also brought one milk goat, well milk goat BREED, not sure she had ever been milked. She didn't do to bad last night.  I only have one sore finger where I was trying to hobble her and she kicked and my finger found the 4x4.

Today is supposed to be cold!    I do not like cold!  We are at about the high right now, 54.  Tonight is down to the 30s.  Did I mention I don't like cold!

Yesterday I felt like my ear was on the phone all day.  I don't talk on the phone if I can avoid it.  I couldn't.  I talked to W. Foster Mom for a LONG time.  From that conversation I would ask that everyone pray we can separate the chaff from the grains of truth.  OR maybe that we hear God's words not human words as to this child and what we are supposed to do.  She wasn't totally negative or bad, just confusing.   The further I step away from the conversation the more I see confusion on her part in what she said.   His case worker wants to give him about a week then talk to him about what's next.  I don't want to pray one way or the other.  Just God's will!  If He wills this to go fwd then W. will be willing.  If He doesn't the door will close and we will all have wonderful memories of the weekend.

Kids are busy at school already.  MN has it figured out.  She gets it done before daylight then has the daylight hours to play.   T hasn't figured out getting it done in a timely manor pays off yet.  MJ waffles between the two.   Today he seems to be getting it done.

Off to freeze and do chores!

I'm with you on it being too cold! Glad it's not going to stay this way, at least not yet. I also agree I don't like doing the chores when it's dark now, it feels much too late and I can't see anything!

About Me

Just want to share the joys and tears of living in the country with others that understand them both. I am mom to 5 children. Two biological and three adopted. We are praying for one more adopted soon. We live 40 miles from town on 117 acres. My days are full of homeschooling children and dealing with livestock. Life is never dull or boring or "normal" what ever normal is. I ramble on here often, some times more than once a day as this is my main form of socialization with adults during the day. Hope to make some new friends here.
