• Saturday, November 3, 2007 - Is it bedtime yet?

Everyone is probably getting tired of "updates", but here is one more.
I am tired!  Is that an update, or a given?     I hope I don't sleep in church tomorrow.   Plan is to take them to the airport, swing by the grocery store and get something for our fellowship meal.  Then make it to church by 11.  It "should" work.  If not oh well wasn't meant to be.  We will start chores at 7 in the morning.  My 21 yo as volenteered to check the goats after daylight.  With the time change I am not even sure when daylight is!  I know I don't have time to be on the road at 8 and deal with any junk that pops up out there.  So I won't check!   We will do babies and milk cows.

I'm trying to not have "hope" just letting God lead in this. They are all off "hunting" varmints. Right! 4 kids 14 and under a 17 yo and ds and dil. I am sure they will be quite as mice when ds cuts the lights
out and starts blowing that call. Think total darkness and a rabbit squealing in your ear. I have the baby. LOL it will be fun and another new experience. I told him to be sure and notice the stars
they are unbelievable out here. We don't have guard lights to mask them. We haven't really talked adoption. I am trying to keep it low key. One time he will talk about going some where with foster family
then he will say something about next time he comes or some such. I am sure he is very confused and unsure. Lots of stuff to consider when you are 14. In the weeks to come please keep him in prayer. He
has lots of food for thought. We are adults and it is still almost overwhelming if you dwell on it.
I am sure he is soooooo tired. I ask him if he gets this much physical exercise at home. He said NO! This is our normal physical exercise! I have so totally enjoyed him. Dh and I have had a few
minutes to chat this evening and Dh and I agree he is a good kid.  Everyone but MN did go swimming. I think T had more "help" than the  two boys. The boys pushed each other in. MN was off checking goats
with me when they did it. They gave her a hard time about it.

Off to shower while it is quite. Thank you everyone your prayers they are felt!

About Me

Just want to share the joys and tears of living in the country with others that understand them both. I am mom to 5 children. Two biological and three adopted. We are praying for one more adopted soon. We live 40 miles from town on 117 acres. My days are full of homeschooling children and dealing with livestock. Life is never dull or boring or "normal" what ever normal is. I ramble on here often, some times more than once a day as this is my main form of socialization with adults during the day. Hope to make some new friends here.
