• Friday, November 2, 2007 - He's Coming!

We finally got word yesterday afternoon that they had a pilot!  Thank you all for your prayers.  Please continue to pray that this weekend is a wonderful time of enlightenment.  That we all feel God's will and desires about if we are a good match for each other.

My oldest son does love me.  I know it!  He dumped 130 more mama goats out here while I was in town yesterday.   See that's true love!  That almost doubled the number of goats I am watching.  He still hasn't reached his goal of 500.

I think barn count is about 19 bottle baby goats and 2 lambs.   I had two interesting messes yesterday morning as I was trying to rush to get things done for town.  I had one nanny have 4 babies and adopt one more, yes she was loving and trying to feed 5.  I took two to the barn last night.   Then I had 3 or 4 nannies kid in a pile.  Some were being cleaned no weren't.  I sorted them out and moved them apart a little did the barn came back and they were all piled again.  That time I took two to the house.  Re-sorted and gave a few of the colder ones colostrum to boost them while moms sorted out.  Last night they were all up and going and seemed happy with their mamas.

Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.  I don't see me on here much this weekend.  If you think of us pray for us.  I'm off to get chores done and house cleaning done and groceries bought and be at the airport when they arrive!   I also don't see it all happening!

About Me

Just want to share the joys and tears of living in the country with others that understand them both. I am mom to 5 children. Two biological and three adopted. We are praying for one more adopted soon. We live 40 miles from town on 117 acres. My days are full of homeschooling children and dealing with livestock. Life is never dull or boring or "normal" what ever normal is. I ramble on here often, some times more than once a day as this is my main form of socialization with adults during the day. Hope to make some new friends here.
