• Monday, October 29, 2007 - It IS Monday!

Breakfast seems to be running a tad late.  We have had a good morning, just not moving as fast as we should.   WE had 9 new babies this morning!   One set of triplets.  I have my doubts that mama will have enough milk for all three, but will give them a chance with some supplement for a few days to see how they do.  Barn was good.  We did loose two but they were expected.  Some we had been struggling with since birth.   I think the count is about 12 goats and 2 lambs.

We are having whole wheat oat meal apple carrot muffins for breakfast... at almost 11:00!   Guess we aren't in to big a hurry.   I have a basic WW/oatmeal muffin recipe.  From there I add what ever seems good, or needs to be used.  This morning I had apples going bad.

I have been trying to figure out why my shoulder is hurting so bad.  It is really stiff and painful.  I was even up in the night hurting.   This morning I had a grown goat that needed a shot.  As soon as I grabbed her I KNEW why my shoulder hurt!   I probably should baby it, but my older son is off on the road for most of the week so if stuff like that happens, I have to do it.

My week is shaping up to be a bit crazy.  Kids have school, one is spending his "free" time writing sentences as a consequence of his choices.  Tomorrow afternoon we are meeting a friend and making laundry soap.  Then Thurs. we are going to therapy and I have to get my new glasses.  Yea!  maybe I can see better.  My son is also getting new glasses.    Then if all goes well we will have W. for the weekend.  Still haven't talked to his case worker to see if they have it all set up.  She is traveling today and tomorrow.  I left a message.  I hope she calls before Wed.  I hate not knowing what is going on.

I bet it was cool to see them, wasn't it? I would like to see them migrate sometime. It would be fun.

I bet they are very pretty when they are resting... I have only seen a few this summer.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Love,
Rachel

About Me

Just want to share the joys and tears of living in the country with others that understand them both. I am mom to 5 children. Two biological and three adopted. We are praying for one more adopted soon. We live 40 miles from town on 117 acres. My days are full of homeschooling children and dealing with livestock. Life is never dull or boring or "normal" what ever normal is. I ramble on here often, some times more than once a day as this is my main form of socialization with adults during the day. Hope to make some new friends here.
