As I looked at the Bible verse on my blog this morning, "Correct thy son and he shall give thee rest, yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. (Proverbs 29:17)" I had to smile to myself. My 11 yo son is busy behind me writing multiply sentences concerning the fact he hit his sister yesterday then tried to bluff his way through by telling me when ask if it was OK to hit someone when you are angry, "To me it is." Then when ask if it was OK to hit someone when they disagree with you, "To me it is." No I didn't buy that at all. Like I tried to explain to him again this morning. He wouldn't be in near as much trouble and writing near as many sentences if he had admitted he did wrong and that he knew he had done wrong. His new answer when ask something he knows the answer but the answer will shade him in a bad light is, anyone want to guess? Yep, "To me it is alright." Grrrr! I finally told him yesterday that was an unacceptable answer!
I was tired last night when we finally came in from the barn. It had been an eventful LONG day. Oldest ds came out and we looked at his goats. He agreed with me it wasn't the need for hay. He wasn't hearing me when I told him that over the phone. Oh well they now have a round bale of hay to go with their creep feed and also several HLS tubs, which are 100 lb tubs filled with minerals and molasses. Good stuff!, which reminds me I probably should have had him get me a couple for my stuff as winter is here and there isn't much green ok no green left around to eat.
I pulled two kids, more of the same group of nannies having issues. My 2nd son says I am prejudices against white goats this year. Last year I fussed about Spanish goats now it is white goats. He had two red heads have twins though. Down side of that is one of them the kids were..... stiff??? Another one of those hummm haven't saw this before. It was something to do with their muscles/nerves. Almost like seizures. I finally brought them to the house. Both could nurse a bottle. The one that was in the worst shape could eat best. I tubed the other one. Gave both a shot of B-complex and we will see if they made it this morning. I haven't been to the barn yet. One was managing to stand up some before we finished in the barn last night. I added 6 babies to my baby collection yesterday. Sure am glad I have extra hands to feed them all. 2 were doing great. The other 4 were wet newborns when I brought them to the house. The two stiff ones and the 2 I pulled. The first one I pulled wasn't doing to well. I tubed him.
Today I have to get chores done quickly so we can be to church by 11:00. We have a meal before church. I am taking red beans and rice, and mash potatoes. Both crock pot fixes. I had read you can boil potatoes in your crock pot over night or all day. It works! I had my dd fill the crock pot with red potatoes last night then water. She turned it on low. This morning they were done. I still have to mash them and add butter and milk. IF I have any milk to add.
My 2nd DS put Nosey, the milk cow in the making in the stanchion last night while we did babies. I was very pleased with her. She didn't kick him He hobbled her and then played with her udder and petted her all over. The only time she sorta kicked was when he pulled the hobble down tight. OH, I also brought my old milk cow back in. I am running short of milk. I had left her with her big baby hoping she would dry up. But, I changed my mind. She is old 10, and only has 3 teats, but very calm and gently. I had separated her up in the day so I knew she wouldn't have a lot of milk, not that she gives a lot anyway. Instead of milking her I just stuck the two lambs I have as bottle babies on her. It took a little work on their part as her teats are sorta thick, but they got the idea and soon were stuffed. I use to have a milk cow that LOVED lambs, she adopted lambs and goats. She would feed about 12 free range. Every time she stopped to graze all four teats would have a lamb or goat nursing. I sure miss her!
I have rambled enough, it is almost daylight, so we can get our day started.

Aren't 11 year olds so smart? I do the "sentences" sometimes. I
