JuLee's Developmental Evaluation was today....

The good news first.....what she IS doing, she is doing very well.  Sher smiles, coos, recognizes mom (DUH!), uses great eye contact, cries to make needs known, and drinks well from a boottle.

They are concerned that she does not roll at all to the right side....matter of fact she barely even turns her head in that direction....(I never noticed it), her soft spot on her head is very small (I told them we were having a CAT scan on Friday to have that checked out), she doesn't track that great, she still has her hands fisted...and her movements are very stiff.

They couldn't say for sure but they hinted that she will qualify for therapy and again has encouraged us to apply for SSI for her.

Even though she is 11 weeks adjusted today, they based the eval on 8 weeks so sound like she is pretty far behind and they gave me a sheet of things to work on with her.

We did put her back on breastmilk and are now fortifying with the Isomil  which seems to be

She's a sweet baby! I hope all goes well. Hopefully you can get the therapy...

Bless her heart. She is so adorable, and I love to hear about her progression. I will keep you and JuLee in my prayers. She will catch up and do well with a little more time, and therapy could help as well!

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

Our Family

cowql1a
We are a family of five. My husband has MS and Mueiner's. My oldest daughter is blessed with Asperger's Syndrome which is a high functioning form of Autism and my baby was born with multiple heart problems (2 open heart surgeries, at least 2 to go) and dyslexia. Our 4th child was born in January although she was not due until April. Although we have many medical problems, we love life and wouldn't change a thing. The LORD has blessed us in many ways.
