My Baby is THREE!

While my little ones are napping (yes, I kept the computer off until about 2:30 today!), I had to quickly type out my amazement at how fast time flies by.  My baby is THREE years old!  We celebrated his birthday yesterday.  How do three years go by so fast?

Wasn't it just a few weeks ago that I was explaining to the girls that "babies sometimes cry and there isn't anything we can do about it"?  Or that I had to worry about one of them sitting on him or "squwooshing" him (now, I have to worry about HIM squishing THEM)?  Or that Cassandra was trying to feed him baby carrots? 

It's also the first time in.... 7 years that I haven't had a baby under 2 in the house.  I miss having a baby to cuddle and stare at in wonder, but it's nice in a way not to have to wonder who might decide to go crawl in the crib with the baby!  I hope we eventually have another baby in our house, but I don't know for sure if that will happen.  Until then, I'm going to enjoy having three walking, talking, reasoning, amazing munchkins around to teach and love and squeeze!

Yes they do grow fast! We were just looking at a video of our first born, and how sweet she is. I remember the day as if it was yesterday. But she's now 11 years old, as tall as I am and wearing my shoes and dresses! And then number 2 came, one was lost after that, then number three and last number four. Now I'm wordering what in the world was I doing with my days before having children? With three being home educated, sewing for everyone, cleaning, packing the home, ... life is nice and full.

Enjoy your young ones because before you know it you will be the one looking back smiling at the memory of them being young. Hug them tight and raise your little arrows straight.
