At Home in Georgia

Seven Years Ago Today....

I'm taking a short break from thinking about Ebola to think back about what I was doing 7 years ago today.

I told my kids this morning that I was Christmas shopping with my mom all day in Kalamazoo, MI.  I was HUGELY pregnant with Cassandra.  Zipping, well, maybe more like plodding, through Meijers, the mall, and probably other stores and stops as well in a frantic effort to finish Christmas shopping early, so that when my first child was born, I could enjoy her and Christmas as much as possible.  That evening I sat through a Christmas program at the school where my husband taught.  I was pretty tired and couldn't wait to go home and go to bed.  Little did I know that my little one would make her arrival the next day, three weeks early.

So seven years ago today, I had no idea what December 6, 2000 held in store... the beginning of a crazy, wonderful stage of life called.... MOTHERHOOD!
