Blog Award

10:54, Tuesday, August 5, 2008 .. 4 comments .. Link

Thanks to Brenda for passing on this great award to my blog. The hardest part comes when you have to then pass it on to others...and many of the people I would like to award this too have already been awarded. In fact, this award has made the rounds quite a bit, and I don't know if I can name seven people for it. But this is a great chance to mention some of my regular favorites who are really deserving of some recognition.

Of course there are my regular favorites like  Mindless Jibber-Jabber and Kitty's Kozy Corner, as well as Simple Folk and Homestead Acres.  Once in a while I like to peek over at Creating My World and SueEllenK. I also love young women who blog about their faith, so A Quiet Little Woman gets a check, too. Finally, Tea Kettles and Lavendar is a new blog that has some worthwhile thoughts.
And there's a host of blogs not on HB that get periodic check-ins as well. Whoa the librarian's lament- so much to read, so little time.

Now, back to the harvest.

Congratulations on the blogging award! I wanted to let you know how much I like your blog. I've been reading for a while and don't think I've commented before. I recently found out that my great grandmother's family were Mennonites. Their name was Ropp and they lived in Ilinois after coming from Canada. In the late 1800's my great great great grandfather moved to KY. They were of Swiss descent.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and all the work that comes with harvest!

Jenny

***Thanks, Jenny, so nice to hear from you!***
