Today my "baby" turns six!!  I'll tell ya nothing makes time seem to fly by more than watching children grow. 

We had a very lovely Sunday yesterday.  Dad actually had the day off from work (his last until right before Christmas) and we had a very enjoyable service at church.  We visited a church we've been to previously several times.  We have quite a few friends there and really like the pastor.  The whole focus was on the true meaning of Christmas, of course, but presented in a fresh way.  We came away from it very blessed and hadn't had that at our "home" church for some time.  We may continue at this place through the Advent season and see what the new year brings.  Of course as we prepare in our hearts and minds to be moving one day, we know that "church" is the people who gather to fellowship and worship our Lord Jesus, so the building means nothing and it's the heart of the people that really matters anyway. 

The kids are on a 2-hour school delay today.  We got some sleet and freezing rain overnight so I imagine the roads are treacherous right now.  I'd like to get into work but will probably wait it out a bit, too, and just go in late.  I don't get paid if I'm not there!  Plus it's just plain fun!!  And on that note, I ought to go get ready, so I'll sign off.
