Went to the farmer's market this morning, for the first time this season!  Good to be back.  I sold everything save for one bag of molasses cookies.  The family is NOT disappointed when I have some of those left over!  It was one windy day, though - haven't seen anything like this in a long time.  Chilly, too!  Much more like autumn than summer...  Not yet!!

I put up another jar of pickles today.  I have also decided to can the peaches that we've been blessed with this year.  We have one lone peach tree and it flowered and fruited for the first time since we've lived here (5 summers now).  Unfortunately we lost two branches that just cracked under the weight of the fruit.  But, there's still lots of good peaches left and I can't let them go to waste!  Hubby and I ate one the other day and it was SOOOO good!!  Very sweet.  So, I'm cleaning out my jars and got new lids and a rack and some tongs.  I'll be putting up peaches very soon!  Going to be quite a process with the amount we have, but I'm looking forward to it.  I've never canned before so this is new and fun to me.  It'll be the boiling-water bath so I don't have to worry about any high-pressure stuff.  Not quite ready for that yet!  I usually freeze my veggies anyway.
