According to the Bible we are supposed to have and use both of these things. Right now I feel like they are contradicting each other in my life!
Ok, so we've been planning this great move to Florida (well, the early stages of it, anyway). We would be selling our house here, moving into a rental down there, and then finding work once we got there. That takes a pretty good dose of faith, to just pack up and go like that. Then last night I was chatting with some on-line friends, and long story short, I am now seriously second-guessing this whole move!! I know the bottom line is that we should be focused on the Lord and where He leads, but then I start to think things like "Is this a WISE move?!?" What got me spooked was all the talk about taxes and insurance in Florida. We are leaving NH because of taxes! Our property taxes are going up exponentially every year and we now can't afford them anymore. We figure sure, Florida has a sales tax, but that generally stays at a given rate year after year, and you have some control over your spending. We wouldn't have to worry about home owner's insurance down there if we're renting, but does it carry over into renter's insurance?? Will that cost me a ridiculous amount of money as well?? Just by way of comparison, someone mentioned that home owner's ins. runs around $3,000/yr. for a $250K - $350K house....YIKES! Our current home is only valued around $200K, but we pay $450/yr for insurance on it! Goes to show there's really no risk involved in living in NH! lol!! Of course it's boring as all get out, too...

ETA: Ok, I'm not going to live in fear and I'm not going to let the comments of one or two people dictate my decisions. I will walk as the Lord leads, and if He opens the door for housing at the camp before we sell our house, then so be it - that's meant to be and we'll go there. If not, we'll go to Florida and stick with that plan and trust Him for ALL things!
