Do any of you with chickens ever let them roam around your garden?  Seems to me I've seen that or heard of it, but can't seem to find anything in print.  In my mind it would seem to make sense - they can pick out the little bugs and fertilize at the same time!

We're getting ready for both our garden and some new arrivals!  Since we've decided to stay put here I promptly went out back and re-marked my garden plot.  Just ordered seeds from Johnny's and will start tilling and preparing the soil tomorrow.  Next we'll diagram out a poultry house (only starting out with three laying hens) and and a chicken tractor!
