Three more days until hubby goes to Colorado to see the camp and meet the folks. I'm excited for his trip but really can't wait until he gets back. I've been so flip-flopping lately on where I would like to see us end up. Yes, I'll follow and do so with a willing heart as I've said, but some days I'm so excited for an adventure and think CO would be so great. Then other times I'm feeling real cozy about staying right here in NH! My demons visit me at night, as they say, and it's in the dark hours when I lie awake and worry about a "big" move and think the obvious choice is to stay here. It's comfortable.
And then, the Lord throws something like this at me: I found a new song the other day on the Sirius sattelite Christian music channel, called "Don't Get Comfortable" by Brandon Heath. If you have access to MusicMatch or Rhapsody or iTunes or the like, look him up and take a listen to this song! If I knew how to put a little player here in my blog, I'd do so.
Anyway, here are part of the lyrics. They really hit home with me!
Comfortable
Don't get comfortable,
I am gonna move this mountain
Then I'm gonna move you in!
Yesterday
This is not yesterday,
You were standin' on my shoulders
Now you're standing on the edge.
You were looking for a sign
All this time....
I am gonna show you what I mean
I am gonna love like you've never seen
You are gonna live like you used to dream
This is your new song
So afraid
But you don't have to be afraid,
Even if you make mistakes
I'll remain
You were looking for a sign
All this time
If you seek you'll find me everytime...
I am gonna show you what I mean
I am gonna love like you've never seen
You are gonna live like you used to dream
This is your new song...
