Knoebels

Right before we left from our camping trip, I snapped some pictures of our campsite at Knoebels, I thought I would share some..

This is looking right over the fence at our campsite.  It is a creek that they use to fill their huge pool for the summer.

This is the iron bridge we walk over to get to the park, it's only about a 30 second walk for us before we hit the rides around the corner..

Here is my honey walking back to the camp site. Notice he is wearing a sweatshirt it was only in the mid 60's most of the week and it's usually in the 80's.

Here is our campsite as we were tearing it down that morning.

And here it is all the way at the end of the site next to ours, we rented both sights for the week, we had 3 tents put up before everybody left besides the camper.  It was a lot of fun..

Soon I want to share the pictures of the RED DEER FARM we had gone to, that was alot of fun also.

Have to run, and do a little "coupon shopping" shortly, so I need to go get my sales circulars and my coupons.
Have a great day my friends.

Roger is home from the hospital and we are praising God that he is doing fine, he will need to go in for blood work and he also has to give himself an injection 2 times a day but at least he is home.  We are both so happy and also exhausted, we plan on taking a few days of doing nothing and then gradually getting back into a routine.

For those on the "boards" thanks for coming here and checking in on Roger, it means a lot to both of us, hopefully the board will be up and running again soon...

A big thank you and lots of hugs for those who were praying on our behalf, prayer is an amazing thing!!

Blessings, Joann

Got a call last night....

I got a call last night from my daughter who is on a missions trip.  She is doing fine.  I could tell that she is a little home sick in her voice.  In fact she told our youth minister that she wanted to call home.    Thank goodness because I was missing her and wanted to hear from her as well.  She is doing fine.  She mowed all day yesterday and was pretty tired.  She told me that the part of town that they are in isn't the best and was kind of scary.  This is a good experience for her and the rest of them.  I just praise God that they are all doing fine.  Please keep them all in prayer.

Well that is all I know right now and I can't wait to see her this weekend when they get home.

Blessings,

Sherry

Well Ladies, it is that time again and I am glad to say that we are back on track.

 I am sorry it has taken me a few days to post.  I have been very busy with curriculum reviews for this year.

Many you knew that we post poned due to the delivery of one of our ladies having a baby. I am happy to say both are doing very well. At the time that we post poned we were only through the first week.

So, with knowing this we have decided to start at week 1, I know some of you were waiting on your book to come in and this will give each of us time to really get back on tract and in tune with the message of this book.  So if you are still interested you can still join us.

We will be starting fresh at Week 1.

I will meet back here every Tuesday or Wednesday to discuss the study with you. You will then have a chance to comment on the study and what the Lord is doing in your life. Please comment, I will print them out and share them with the Ladies here. We will also put you on our prayer list.  I look forward to FINALLY getting this started.

Please be sure to scroll through all my post and read all the ones that have to do with Tina's Priceless Treasures ~ that would be the Tuesday Tea time Ladies  and under the Tuesday Tea time Gatherings.

That way you are caught up and in full swing by this time next week.

I hope all is well and that this study becomes a true blessing to you all. I look forward to my next teatime post on July 8th or the 9th.

"I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul."
Psalm 31:7

Oh, Ladies if you only knew how that verse keeps ministering to my soul.  Today I had a sherrif at my door, he delivered a summons for me to be in court for truancy.  Now, I have one child at home, homeschooled and 3 in school. At first I thoughht it was the homeschooler, but come to find out it is for the 3 in school.

Now mind you last year our family was sick with the flu and my children brought lice home not once, but 5 times from their school.  So with the days they missed I am now consider truant.

Please keep me in prayer.  This could affect me being able to homeschool them this year.  My husband and I decided to take the children out of the school system and begin to homeschool them again.  So, I have already ordered their curriculum for the year as well as made up their lesson plans and have been ready to start this year.  I still have a little tweaking hear and their and a few more things to order, but I am pretty much done.

I know in my heart this is an attack of the enemy. So ladies you have been there for me before in prayer, I am calling on you all to pray again, especially those fellow homeschoolers out there who know the importance of homeschooling.

I did want to share with you after the sherrif left, I broke down and cried, "Lord, please help me. I know we heard from you on this matter. Go before us and prepare the way and make this right.

I sat there at my computer desk and noticed my calendar had not been flipped for that day.  When I looked at the scripture verse and read it, ( the one that is listed above.) oh how it ministered greatly to me.  But then I read what Nancy said in reference to that verse and I knew God had spoken to me.  I will rejoice because He will make it right, even while I sat there with tears in my eyes.

"He is the God of every circumstance. He is in the process of redeeming and making all things new. You can rejoice in Him, even when your eyes are filled with tears."

Nancy Lee DeMoss

I also knew that every tear that I cried, He was collecting in a bottle. My tears were not going unnoticed. We serve a loving Father who cares about our EVERY need.

God reminded me of another verse that is so precious to me.

   "You number and record my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle--are they not in Your book?

      Then shall my enemies turn back in the day that I cry out; this I know, for God is for me.

      In God, Whose word I praise, in the Lord, Whose word I praise,

     In God have I put my trust and confident reliance; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Psalm 56:8-11

amplified version

Also I want to share this BEAUTIFUL poem with you, please check out her site at:

Isn't is so wonderful to know that even our tears are seen and caught by our daddy in heaven.  Just like a compassionate father wipes the tears of his little girl here on earth, even more my Heavenly Father wipes and collects mine.

TEARS IN A BOTTLE
A Tears in a Bottle Collection Signature Poem.
t
o Shirley Skidmore Holley and Megan

Like the pages in my bible,
That record my family tree;
You've recorded all my troubles,
In your book of tears, I see.
Here's the time I found my true love,
Happy tears shimmered on my face;
So sadly. I lost that loved one,
You received all my tears with grace.
You wrote down the birth of my child,
Prideful tears glistened in my eyes;
And when he (she) caused fear and sorrow,
You took my tears each time I cried.
See the star beside my new job,
You blessed me and I walked tall;
I got stubborn, went my own way,
You caught my tears, I took a fall.
All my tears are in a bottle,
My bible says you put them there;
To remind me of your presence,
Each time I shed tears in despair.

Hee is a picture of the counter top put in

Here is one of the L looking at the door and fire place where we will come in

And here is a view looking towards the front door, we still have the back splash, the oven to get in, and of course the floor to do and to paint, but it's coming along slowly but surely.

I now have many things on the counters and my things put away, if I have time today I will take a few shots of  "stuff" on the counter tops..LOL

Have a nice day..

Great shopping

It's been very nice here in PA, yesterday it was 82 for the high with sunny skies and low humidity.  Today the weather is calling for 90 and a bit more humid.  But we can live with that considering it was freezing 2 weeks ago in the low 60's when we were on vacation, but we got threw it and now it's a new day.

Well I had gotten some great buys this week, I have Oscar mayer hot dog coupons 55c on one and a store that doubles has them for $1.50, so 40c for hot dogs is great, these are normally $3.99 a  pack, so a great savings.  So far I have gotten 10 packs, I have 20 more to go.  I have also been getting 12 packets of unsweetened kool aid and 4 packs of kraft single 12 oz cheese for $1 total with my coupons and a $3 catalina that prints out each time I buy the 4 cheese's.  So it's time to toss some cheese in the freezer.  I have also heard Walgreens is having a great bargain on their brand diapers.  If I get by one I may try it, it runs through July 26th.  Read about it at Anne's blog http://www.homesteadblogger.com/mamato6/

She has a very informative blog about all the great buys for the week.  Her post was June 30th.

If I have time later today I will post more pictures of our kitchen.  The counter tops are in and I put most of the things in the cupboards, I am still waiting for water, well I shouldn't say that, last night John got the cold running, now tonight he will work on the hot.  It certainly will be great to have a kitchen sink, since it's been 6 weeks now I think.  Although the guys that were putting in the counter top asked how long we were without a kitchen, John responded about 6 weeks, they said wow that's not bad, some people are without one for 6 months.. HUH   I can't imagine.  Although I must say the 6 weeks has gone by quicker then I expected, I guess because we have been busy.  The guys said we had good "planning" with the kitchen to have it this far so quickly .  Thanks to my honey John he always was a good planner.

Today holds for me, to keep putting things back in the kitchen, everything was moved to a back empty bedroom, so as I decide what I want to keep from the old kitchen and what I want to mark for  a yard sale, it either gets washed and put away or tagged for a yard sale.  I was hoping to have one July 26th but I think that is unrealistic with all we have to do yet with the kitchen, so August it will have to be I guess.  Anything I make will be Christmas money for me, wish me luck, I have so much to get rid of in the basment your head would spin.

Well off to talk to my sister Lori, she is calling..

Have a great Wednesday today on your Homestead, we will....

Yesterday was Canada Day and despite the littles still being some what sick we had a nice day.  Dh had some errands to do but after supper we took the kids for a walk at the park.  They got to see all the animals (birds and deer) and play for a while.

Then we headed home and dh surprised them with a few fireworks!  They LOVED it we'll have to get some more before summers over.

Little dd2 wasn't to sure about it!
