What gives ANYONE the right to say to my son, "your mom is ready to kick your @ss!!!!!!!!!!?????????

We were in TSC nad I said to JOEY (nicely!LOL), "C'mon. We need to get going." THis man turns around to Mat (while ever so kindly holding the door open) and says that!!!!!!!!!!! The man looked at me and laughed. I attempted a smile. He meant no harm by it and I didn't see the point when I was pretty sure that it was not going to change his thoughts on the issue. Mat just looked at me like, what do I do mom? Geesh.

organizing

Well I finally packed up last year's school and got most of this year's put away. I'm debating on printing off the botany stuff yet or not. They will both do that this summer so I need to get their notebooks ready.

It took Mat all fo 15 minutes to do both of his root word pages (which he says he enjoys) and his 2 LA sheets. I'm using easy grammar as a supplement for this summer. It's not a writing program and I think this way he can focus on grammar. He knows the rules, it's just implementing them!LOL I'm xeroxing the pages for 2 reasons. One the answer key is directly across from his worksheet!LOL and  two, I can reuse the book w/Joey if need be and eventually sell it.

Other than that, I've mopped, worked out and vacuumed and almost done w/laundry. I even showered.;) Supper will be bacon and eggs and probably biscuits (I need to get them made).

quiet day

Ok, today is quiet. I've dusted and as soon as Mat wakes up, I'll clean the bathrooms.  I need to make granola bars and start the celery/potato/cheese/ham soup. Mat has a game at 6:45 and that will wrap up our day. Joey woke up w/a cold this am and Mat has been SUPER whiny. Serioulsy, I guess I mentioned snipe hunting to him forever ago and he remembered and was actually CRYING yesterday cuz we wouldn't take him! :shock:  ANd Dh had no idea what it was. So I explained it to DH. He looked at me like I was nuts. I said IT"S LIKE COWTIPPING nad he had no idea what THAT was. I told him that he needed to come out from under his rock more often. Sheesh, I can understand not knowing snipe hunting, but he GREW UP ON A FARM! I thought they ALL knew what cowtipping was! At any rate, I hope that Mat's not getting sick as well.

This does mean that i"ll be able to read The Forbidden by Lewis today tho. ;)

WINDY!!!!!!!

MOther's Day wasn't really all that great from a  personal standpoint so that's all that I'm going to say about that. I did get to see my SIL nad niece and nephew, which was nice and my mom and sister (and families!LOL).

It's crazy windy here and I needed to do laundry so I hung it up, told God to take care of it and went to town.

HS skate went well. I didn't skate as much as I'd have liked, but oh well. They played more games, which all the children loved. Mat's game was cancelled. It'll make things alot easier for me schedule wise. BOth make up games are goign to try to be this week, which is fantastic. I don't want this season dragging out any longer than necessary.

Unfortunately, since we weren't going to be home to eat as a fmaily, I didn't really plan supper!LOL I wasn't going to eat, Joey had a sandwich and Mat had pasta. DH would've fended for himself. OH well. I'm sure there is bologna or a hot dog or some nasty stuff that he calls meat for him to eat.

Today both boys had games at 10am. Mat had to be there at 9 and DH helped Matt (the coach) rake the girls' diamond for our Tball game. That means that DH raked the diamond!LOL I start the game w/Matt off talking to someone (did the same thing hte second inning) and I was getting TIRED of hearing he and DH (who was in the field helping the little ones) telling me how Mat's game was going (Noah was playing as well). I had to pitch and we had a child suit up as a catcher so I was behind hte plate w/them and I had to move the tee almost everytime (even tho Matt was my catcher) cuz he would just stand there!

We wrap that game up a little after 11 (the diamonds are obviously close) and dump Joey's stuff off in the van on the way to the concession stand to get his team drink and I turn to see Mat and the boys telling each other good game! I thought I'd at elast get to see one inning!

So we come home and I make the oriental salad and ghiradelli dessert for lunch for tomorrow and then Joey and I go to the bulk food store while DH gets mulch. Of course I feel guilty watching them to mulch (no I did not offer to help!LOL) and offered to mow since he had hte mower out. I'm guessing the he wanted to mow cuz he said no!LOL So I weeded. The 2 super nasty areas that I've been avoiding (one has thistle). That was loads of fun. I'll take pics later since this will probably be hte only time the yard looks halfway decent.

old age?

I totally forgot to mop before my workout this and I seperated the boys already! But I've worked out and mopped and as soon as the floors are dry, I'll put the chairs back in teh kitchen so that I can vacuum and resume laundry. Boy did that throw a wrench in my day! As wella s the weather. There is no rain, but I don't imagine that the clothes would even come close to drying before the rain comes this afternoon w/how it looks now!

I just can't believe that I FORGOT to mop!

MY DAD"S BIOPSY CAME BACK CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that's very good news!

Mat's ball practice is cancelled.

Lily, however, has not had her foal and we are getting very concerned.

Mom said that she wants pork steaks and corn casserole made by my sister. Not sure how to take that!LOL So I'm making oriental salad and a ghiradelli caramel dessert.

I got my shower in. I don't have to touch my hair since I"m only dropping Mat off at ball practice tonight (if it doesn't get rained out). I also called the PO. It's a super small PO and the lady and I chat when I go in. ALtho I had NO IDEA if she knew my name so I just said that I have the long red hair. I coudl've added the Vera Bradley part, but she pegged me w/the red hair!LOL Anyway, I went to buy .01 stampsa nd she sold me .03 so I was trying ot work out how to get an exchange (and this is a different PO than who handles my mail so I couldn't do it thru the mailbox) w/o leaving het house, but I needed to get 2 letters out today. However, her line was busy so I missed today's mail. Anyway, she said the rates dont' go up until Monday so I can mail my stuff tomorrow nad exchange my stamps before the ball games (this PO is just a few blocks from the ball diamond) on Saturday WHEW!LOL All taht work for .50!LOL I only wanted 25 one cent stamps!LOL

I have also worked out, got the bagel dough rising, dusted and basically cleaned the bathrooms. So I'm off to finish the bagels and make the granola bars.

baseball.......

Just sat thru a baseball game int he rain. Actually JOey and I left early. Mat got what was probably his last bat and scored so we bolted. Dh can haul that filthy boy around in his truck!LOL It was a horrible game. We're slaughtering the other team by the run rule. I feel so sorry for the other team. So pitiful to watch them play in the rain and have it be a blow out like that.:(

Tomorrow is a quiet day. I usually do laundry, but it's supposed to rain all day so I'll wait until Friday. That means that I only have to dust and clean the bathrooms. I hope to make granola bars and bagels and we are out of leftovers so I've got to make a real supper too.;) Taco salad.;)

Ok, today was good. I worked out and we got on the road and the nursery babysitter bailed AGAIN. I'm glad that it's over for taht reason alone. I was tired of showing up to pick her up and her not coming. MOMs went well and then off to pigman's for flowers. I bought the garden.;) And got the stuff for 2 pots (mine) and mom's hanging basket for Mother's Day. HS library went well. One lady brought in what she thought might be tadpoles, but I think they are small fish. Oh well, the boys love them. And the painted lady chrysallis are getting ready to emerge.

Then home and I looked over my 3rd split pota nd decided that packing tape on the inside will let me get one more year out of it. So my pots had better fill in!LOL They should be fine. MOm's basket looks good. I got 2 main plants to match the basket that SIL got her. I lightly watered all of those cuz it's super windy here and i didn't want them to blow over! ANd it's supposed to rain tonight. The russian sage that I put under the pool appears to be perking up so I'm hoping that survives. It was my only iffy transplant.

I'll feed the boys soon adn off to the ball diamond. I'm wondering if I could convince DH to stay home and plant hte garden. I dont' know where he wants stuff and I'd love to get it in before this storm.......

I also balanced the checkbook!LOL

Gorgeous Day! yard work, friends and dogs!LOL

And I spent most of it outside! I did 7 loads of laundry and got quite a bit of weeding done. Still more to do, but that will wait until next week. I"m waiting on DH to finish rototilling the sandbox so that he can get my porch swing down! It's been PERFECT reading weather and I plan to cash in on that as much as I can!

Mat had a friend over and his dad will be here soon to pick him up. That changed supper plans a bit cuz it was going to be a stretch to feed the 4 of us on what was left and this boy doesnt' eat pork and I'm pretty sure that I used sausage in that Rachel Ray dish so I made him mac'n'cheese.

At any rate, I'm sure that I"ll sleep like a log tonight after everything that I have done today. And we have a big day tomorrow w/it being the primary in IN and we have dental appts. NO BASEBALL for the 2nd night in a row! I need to find out if DH wants to meet my parents for supper and if he wants this chocolate lab that a friend had dumped on them. They've had it for 3 weeks and say that it's a great dog.

Weeding!

That's what I did for 2.5 hours today! well I also dug up and split some hostas, daylillies, russian sage and snow-on-the-mountaintop. WHEW! I started laundry and need to go hang up a load (I have 2 on the line of 6) and it was after 11 by the time I got to a stopping point so I never even got breakfast!

Also I got a NEW Vera piece last night--the billfold to match my purse! And I'm THRILLED to have gotten my purse cuz they had NONE at the sale! And another friend went yesterday and scored me a large tic tac for $15 (they retail for $69)!!!!!

So I'm off to work on laundry and I guess think about lunch and kick the boys outside. It's too nice to be inside.

Gocarting!!!!!!

I have no idea how to spell that!LOL But my dad bought one and oh the fun we had yesterday!!!!!!!!! I'll post pics later. So that's what we did after church. And then the boys had their closing program for kid's club and that was nice. Joey convinced my parents to come to that.

And we finally started our Sunday School lesson. We have to split it up tho and watch the DVD one week and do the discussion the next cuz it's a LONG DVD. It's Take It To The Limit  by Andy somethingorother.;)

The boys are outside playing clubhouse in the tent (what a great gift that was!).

And by 10:30, I have mopped, worked out, vacuumed, got all the laundry on the line, and made 40 mini apple pies!!!!!!! I need to shower at some point!LOL But first, I want to plant some bulbs (and wanted to wait to shower for that) and see if there is any prep work for that Rachel Ray dish for tonight. I'm pretty excited!!!!!! Today will have relaxing time afterall!

AND MY HEADACHE IS GONE!

Slowing down........LOL

My head is better, but I'm at that loopy stage. I need a good night's sleep and I think I"ll be good in the morning. My canker sores seem better and my body is obviously screaming out ot slow down. WHEN?ROTFL!!!!! I'll be home all day tomorrow and only have the floors to clean. I'm making this kicking Rachel Ray dish that my sister made (we both totally modified it tho!LOL) and I need to make all the mini apple pies I guess. I was going ot make a batch tomorrow nad then one on Saturday. Welll, I guess I could make them Sat night. They don't take all that long. But I don't have enuf muffin tins.....Hmmmmmmm. Anyway, we leave at 9:45 Fri morning to work at the church concession stand and I need 30 pies for that. We do stepping stones after that and Joey has ball practice from 6:30 to 7:30. I'm going to put on a roast, potatoes and carrots in the crock pot for supper.

Saturday, I'm working the concession stand at hte ball diamond from 10-noon. That gets my time in for Mat's team out of the way. I have a crop from 1-5 and the boys have games at noon, 1:30 and 3 (I'm obviously missing most of them). Mat will play the entire time as one boy will not be there. If they pull someone up, I'll be SERIOUSLY POed!

Sunday, we'll go to church and then back to my parents for hte boys to play on the gokart (that they don't know about yet) and then their kid's club church party is that night (what I need the other mini apple pies for) so I'm sure we'll go straight from my parent's to that and get home about 8 since it's just an 'open house' style event (which is fine!).

Monday, I"ll crawl into a hole and stay there until Wednesday!LOL

wacky wednesday and groceries have gone UP UP UP!

Well I did manage to dust nad clean the bathrooms (mostly). But my headache only got WORSE! I was talking to my sister on the phone nad kept zoning out! So I tried to take a  nap and sort of succeeded. It was noon and Mat came in asking if they could have pizza snacks for lunch. Sure, as long as there is no effort from me. They even had ice cream w/sprinkles!

Well, things have definitely gone up here! Peanuts went from $1.69 to $1.99. The tortillas were .99 now, etc, etc. So I spent almost $60 filling the tanka nd almost $60 at the grocery....... I was excited to see they were selling limes and I needed one for my recipe for tomorrow. And they had a ton of mexican food so I got 6 cans of black beans (for the recipe) and 6 cans of garbanzos and a small can of green chilies--I'll use those in the recipe for tomorrow.

So I made it to town. Not sure how cuz I am TOTALLY out of it from those sinus meds!LOL I let the boys buy all kinds of stuff that i normally wouldn't. I think Joey got every kind of soup (I had no idea!LOL) they sold! I was putting it away thinking, when did he get chicken corn chowder?LOL They'll eat it so it's not a big deal, but I certainly hadn't planned on buy soup!LOL
