schedules

Someone recently asked how I do things and if I had a schedule/routine. Well yes and no!LOL I do have a schedule, but I have to keep things flexible because of our lifestyle.  Here is what an IDEAL week looks like:

Monday: Laundry (sheets/towels/clothing)

Tuesday: nothing

Wednesday: dusting and bathrooms

Thursday: mopping and vacuuming

Friday: laundry (clothes and rugs or other miscellaneous items)

Now I do have a 'nothing' day in there and that provides the flexbility. I really prefer to clean on Thursday and Friday so sometimes I do that. But if I'm going to be gone all day on Wednesday, then I know I need to find another day to dust and clean the bathrooms. Also by breaking all of this up, it's easier ot find smaller chunks of time to actually accomplish them. Yes, I have cleaned the entire house and done all the laundry in one day, but I"m very tired and cranky by the end of the day. So this is what works FOR US.

Please bear in mind that I am apparently what some call BO (I'm sure that I smell, but here it stands for born organized).  Time management is a forte for me. IE, on Thursday mornings, I start a load of laundry and bring up the mop, I sweep and mop myself into the basement, where I work out for 30 min. By then the 1st load of laundry (in the basement) is done so I swap and put the kitchen chairs back and vacuum.  By the time Joey's done w/school and bfast is cleaned up, load 2 is usually done.  So really doing laundry on the same day taht I do the floors is not a big deal (for me).

Whew!LOL

Well I got the shells stuffed. Man does that look GOOD! I remembered to get spinach this time so they should be plenty nutritious.  Not to mention delicious! Since there is no meat in them, I'll get fish sticks or something nasty along the likes for Dh!LOL So NOW I'm done cooking for a couple of days!

I started reading a book, but I'm not sure if I'll finish it. It's the start of series and apparently it's a slow start!ROTFL!

Well today turned out like I planned so far. But when I woke up, due to a physical issue, I had changed it, but apparently that was not allowed so I was forced to revert back to my original plan!ROTFL!

So I started laundry, mopped, worked out (which was frustrating cuz only THAT STATION wasn't coming in! Grrr, but when I was done working out w/the DVD, the station was working fine), vacuumed, Mat made his own eggs and only made a little mess, Joey wanted eggs so I wound up making eggs for both of us (vs. my usual bagel), Joey did school (he's back to stuff that's review for him), Mat's almost done w/school and I have all the laundry hung up to dry. I even got a shower worked in! Supper is leftovers and Mat asked for last night's lentil soup for lunch so I guess I"m not even going to cook today! Oh wait, I think I'm going to make the stuffed shells for tomorrow night today. I'm not sure if I can, but I am!LOL We have our co-op, grocery, using up BookIT coupons and Mat has a friend coming over from the co-op. So I'm sure that I'll be beat by the time I get done putting everything away (I have 4 huge bags for the co-op and I'll have 4 bags of groceries, I am sure!). Last time things were fine w/the boy visiting, but DH was here and they were outside most of the time. So at least I'll only have to toss the food in the oven for supper and call it good.
