Our new baby girl--pictures!

She is here! FINALLY! And everyone is OK! Sorry the pics are poor quality, but I didn't want to get in the pen w/o DH there.

frogs and crayfish....

I'm tryign to decide if it's a frog or toad. I didn't find the tadpoles so I don't know if there are frogs in the area, cuz I'd certainly be more inclined to say TOAD. I'm hoping to be able to identify it before we set it go! And it seems to be doing really well today! We got the big eyes going now.;) I can't get a glimpse to see how much tail is left. I'm trying not to handle it much cuz it's so vunerable right now.

The crayfish is doing AWESOME! I saw little pinchers today! The other ones fell off and I wasn't sure if that was a normal part of the molting process or not. I also saw that he did eat all of his shell so we should be good to go. They only live 2-3 years (from what I've read) and we've had this one well over a year. I'll hate to see it die, but this has been SO COOL to see IRL!

So I've got to email Mat about them and I told him I'd have Joey dictate an email to me from Joey.;)

He's probably 4-5 hours old here. Dh checked her at 7:30 and no baby and I sent Mat out at 2 and there he was!!!!!!
