ball and yardwork

Both boys had games at 10 today. Mat's was away so Dh took him. SOmeone was in our bed around 7. They left voluntarily thankfully!LOL  In Mat's age group, they have various 'chants' for their chatter. One is 'I say strike, you say out. Strike! (yelled)' and then all the other players yell OUT! Joey said this during the other TBALL team's at bat!ROTFL! Luckily I was standing near him and ran over and shushed him. That was the 2nd thing he'd done that only the older teams did so I told him that they don't do those things at this age. Our Tball gets 3 pitches from teh coach and if they don't hit, they hit off the tee. So there are no strike outs anyway!LOL

Mat's game was good. The coaches behaved themselves. Mat struck out, and then got 2 hits (so he actually batted 3 times this game). The coach's son struck out 3 times and then was hit by the ball. He has yet to get a hit in a game. He's gotten foul balls, but no hits. This was our 9th game. Tell me if that were ANY other boy if he'd be allowed to stay #2 in the line up....... Mat was also in left field this game. Dh said that another boy (a coach's son) seriously goofed up in the outfield and he got moved to right (see why I get ticked that they put Mat in right--they use it as a PUNISHMENT!). Mat stopped the ball and tried to catch a foul ball (it would've been hard for anyone to catch) and stopped all the ones that went thru the 3rd baseman's legs....... (I can't say that Mat would be a better 3rd basemen, but there are other players on the team that would be a much better infielder.)

We actually went out for lunch after Mat's away game (I wasn't going to go, but the ump was 45 min late so I got to see quite a bit of it) and then he and DH returned his snail and came home w/an aquatic frog....... UGH! Dh rototilled some more in the garden. It looks REALLY good. He got manure down to mulch around the potatoes. SOmething's already started in on a tomato plant so we got hte milk jugs over those. All but 2. I know those plants will get eaten, but I don't know if whatever is eating those will mess w/the peppers or not. I hope not..... I still haven't gotten the melonsa nd cukes out, but I can't until I have more milk jugs. I topped the onions as well. And I weeded all around the housea nd pool and pulled a bunch of weeds around this big rock. It's supposed to be striped grass, but regular grass was taking over.

DH and JOey are off to a truck pull so Mat nad I just hanging out.

I forgot to mention that I managed to take pics of Joey during the game!LOL I didn't get pics of him batting (now THAT would've been a feat since I pitch!LOL), but I got him in the catcher's outfit catching, running into home and fielding.;)
