cheap, useful experiment

Toothpaste:

Crush some Tums (really fine--you might need a blender or food processor)

baking soda

water

Mix 1/2 tsp calcium carbonate (TUMS) and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and add enuf water to make pastelike. That's your  toothpaste.;)

For experimental purposes, add different flavors and food coloring and rank. Also encourage to make a slogan/commercial. My boys LOVED this!
