Mat's new job.......

Speaking of DH's, my dad just now called me. Did DH tell you about what we talked about yesterday? Seriously dad, the 2 of you tell me NOTHING EVER! Well Georgy's (nickname!LOL This man is very wealthy adn for some reason idolizes MY FATHER!) been after me to mow this cemetary up the road. What cemetary, dad (cuz there is NO cemetary 'up the road')? I have a really light weed whacker and we'd pay Mat $8/hr if he wants. Can he handle it? Ummm, well, he handles that mantis rototiller you got him? (thinking, dad you have very little patience when it comes to this stuff....) So then I get a disseration on the difference between his 2 weed whackers and why the one is much better suited for Mat. It'll be once, maybe twice a month and all day. I really think Mat would like it and it would be good for him. But I told dad that he can't yell at Mat the 1st few times cuz Mat will need to get the hang of it. It's probably a disaster waiting to happen, but........

You may think this strange, but I was looking for the blogsite that listed her agenda and accomplishments for 2005 (I wanted to copy the list form) and I have been redueced to searching archives -which is getting exhausting! However, I'm finding lots of valuable info. Something caught my eye with YOUR blog, way back in Feb 9th of 2006, where you said: "Our grocery budget is less than $35/week for food so I think I have that under control."
Dana, this is what we are spending a DAY for 4, and I know prices have gone up some, (and we splurge on organic meats and milk), BUT you said per WEEK and that you've got it under control.
PLEASE consider digressing back to this topic and explaining how you've accomplished that budget!
I have in mind to be frugal and grow some vegetables but we just started this journey (broke) and could use your kind of insight - as I'm sure others could.
Thanks for sharing on your blog, it's very inspiring!
