I sent Mat out to ask Dh if he wanted to eat now or have me fix it after he was done mowing (bacon and eggs--so I'd just make his overeasy things). Well he responds w/does your mom want to mow while *I* eat? Ok, fine. I know he'd pick stupider over me hands down, but it was a toss up w/the zero turn mower. Apparently I do rank slightly higher than it.;) So I get a jacket (one of his) and go out to mow. He wanted to show me how to use it. Sit on my lap? Are you out of YOUR MIND?!?!?! So I got on his lap!ROTFL! he nearly threw me off twice. Meanwhile, Mat's in the house unsupervised making eggs! (he's done it many a time) After my 'lesson', I get free reign. OH MY WORD! I nearly hit the pool and did hit a bush! I looked up expecting to see DH at a deadbolt for the mower (to usurp my position), but to my shock (horror???LOL), he was standing there pointing and laughing at me!ROTFL!!!!!!!! JUST GO IN THE HOUSE YOU BIG BABOON IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE THAT WAY ABOUT IT!LOL I know I looked like I was on something MAJOR cuz I was ALL OVER the yard. After a few minutes, I got the hang of it. I even stopped it and moved a piece of rope and didn't kill the mower (or me!LOL). I did get a little to close to a couple of things, but I noticed the jiggly gas cap and tightened it.:) I also noticed that I was not the 1st one to leave black marks on the side of hte propane tank. It's a SUPER tight fit and I was amazed that I pulled it off! I ate some branches, but that's to be expected. Notice here that I"ve done alot of mowing. Apparently Dh's 'come mow while I eat' really meant, finish mowing over half the yard (3 mowing acres) while I eat and then do everything else I need to do. I did not eat first cuz I thought I'd eat after he was done. And that jacket that I wore to keep me warm? The zipper doesn't work and it was attached at the bottom, split all the way up the middle and attached at the top!ROTFL!!!!! I managed to pry my hands off the mower (cuz, well, I had a death grip on the handles!ROTFL!) I come in to eat (marveling at the fact that neither the mower nor I were damaged) and it's 8:22 and Joey's still up. Eating, too. Then Mat comes flying in saying that daddy wants to plant. OK OK OK OK! So we got the lettuces, spinach, arugla, radishes, beets, and part of the potatoes planted. We usually do one row of spuds and that's what DH prepared, but we had growing ones from last year that filled over half a row (I hope they continue to grow!) and blue ones so I didn't even make a dent in the ones I bought today (yukon gold and red). So he's going to make another row for those tomorrow. At 8:45, I came in to fix supper (leaving them to finish planting the spuds). So now I need to go clean up the kitchen adn crawl in bed........LOL

FTR, I have mowed most of my life (until we moved here) but w/either the trim mower or a regular yard tractor.;)
