melanoma

My dad has melanoma. He's been seeing a dermatologist for a couple of years now. So he calls my sister and tells her. Then he asks her if that's a bad thing. My mom doesn't know. I'm pretty sure that we'll hear the scream from here. She's been after him for years about sunscreen. BUT, this is the kicker, he ALWAYS ALWAYS wears a Tshirt (usually 2) so he is the epitome of a farmer's tan. I can probably count hte number of times on both hands that I have seen him w/o a shirt (usually in the pool, but sometimes even then he wears one). His arms look like battlefields to quote my sister. THE SPOT IS ON HIS BACK! We figure he'll probalby forget all about it and just not tell mom at all OR he'll stew over it and make our lives miseable!LOL As he told my sister, I go in the 24th for him to cut on my some more (they think they got it all, but want to make sure--the doc was super suprized that this came back as melanoma to begin with and says that he caught it really early). Dad asked him if this was to pay for the other tire for his boat trailer... Really, I worry about sending Mat out into the world ot function. I think I should've been far more worried about my dad!

I did get hte granola bars made.
