Monday--PAID OFF OUR TRUCK & pretending to be Israelites!LOL

I did not sleep well last night, but that's OK. I got up and started laundry and worked out. I then made the announcement that the boys were going to pretend to be Israelites wandering int he desert.  You see, I took home a bag of peanut butter sandwiches from the chili dinner and they NEED to be eaten. They aren't the tastiest by now!LOL And we just finished reading Exodus so I decided this might be a fun way to get rid of the sandwiches AND have them get a little lesson out of it.

After Joey's school was done, I PAID OFF STUPIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, Dh and I hadn't gotten into details so I did what I thought was wisest and then called and told him what I did!ROTFL! I was so happy to have this DONE that it was halfway thru the conversation before I remembered to have her check and make sure the tax refund had come in!ROTFL! So I've got load 4 (of 5) in and vacummed. Mat's got a big test in LA that I need to check as well.

I'm also making lasagna for tonight and put a whole chicken in the crock pot. The carrots and celery HAVE to be used  (or they will be bad) so that's why I"m makign the chicken. I'll pick it clean tonight and make stock tomorrow. I'm slowly getting room back in the frig and freezer!LOL Plus I got some lentil soup and I want real chicken stock to make it in--YUM!

We are now debt-free except our home which we are now working on:)

It is wonderful not having all those bills waiting to be paid:) It also gives us some room in budget.

What are you going to do with this new found money?

It's not really newfound money!LOL We just set aside money from the tax check to cover the truck payment. We aren't big on debt and I was NOT happy when he wanted to buy this truck and we did not have cash. So I'm just back to happy status!ROTFL!!!!! I'd love to convince him to start throwing money at the house principle, but I'll have to live w/what extra that we throw at it now. CONGRATS on being so close to debt free!

Congrats on paying off the truck!!! Are you going to celebrate with a cake or something???

We are currently debt free except for our mortgage and wow does it feel good!!!!!

I hadn't thought about it since I"m making lasagna (a labor intensive meal for me!LOL) AND doing that chicken. We aren't big cake eaters, but I do have some frosting that needs used. I'll hunt around and see if we have any graham crackers and make icing sandwiches! Or no bake cookies. Those never last long here. Otherwise, *I* eat the cakea nd this way I don't get the cookies.;)
