Welcome to Dana's blog!

Life is slowing down now for a week.........

Not much doing here. The co-op went well yesterday. I think they are all enjoying the anatomy class. And it's actually WAY easier than I thought it would be. We average about 5 experiments a week and I think that helps!LOL I do a brief overview of which system we are discussing and then they just rotate stations and I have a resource table (where I hang out) set up for when they have down time. I also asked them to do a project. I don't care WHAT it is, as long as it relates to the human body!LOL We are going to a Grossology exhibit at the cultural center today so I hope that gives Mat an idea. They are due the 14th to display at Grandparent Day.

I also cut hair last night. I was so tired that I didn't want to, but I did. And I'm already tired of fish and I still have three more weeks of coming up w/fish meals that are pretty healthy!

Mat's working on his Hudson Bay Company report. I didnt' tell him that he had more than one day to work on it and he's not dawdled MUCH. When he starts, I'll tell him. It's got to be 5 paragraphs at 5 sentences each. This is good prep for his huge research paper that he'd got in LA in 3 three weeks. (Really, it's 1/10 of the cirriculum!)

Speaking of school, it looks like we'll be wrapping up math soon. He's on lesson 106 of 120. He's got 15 more lessons in LA (minus the paper). And maybe 20 more lessons in history. So that will all be done by the end of March. We'll spend April doing the paper and science.

So today I have worked out, ironed and put away all the laundry. Dh decided to go in for a bit so we're just hanging out. Baseball signups are today and instead of taking the fundraiser, I'm jsut throwing money at them. We have no one to sell candybars to and I REFUSE to bring them into this house. This afternoon, we're heading out to the cultural center, using up some gift cards at Applebees (and meeting another homeschooling family there--HOW FUN!) and then we are all going to the planetarium!
