![]() MOMS, library, church dinner and CLEANING!Yesterday was a blur! DH told me to turn on the tube to check for closings and for once I was hoping for one!LOL I was dreaming of luxiurating in bed for a while!LOL Not really, I had things I could've done. But there were none so I called my neighbor to offer to bring stuff in for her since there was a delay on that school and she said that she hadn't been in forever so she was just coming late. We left and I didn't think the roads were THAT bad. Sure you couldn't drive normally, but they were quite passable IMO. I get to babysitter's house (the whole reason I vacuumed out my van) and she didnt' appear. I called the church secretary (who is the head of MOMS) and she hadn't heard from her). So I go knock and was turning to head back to the van cuz she didn't show up and the knob turned. SHe said that she called (we have no idea who tho!) and left a message that her back was out. We had a smaller crowd and it was not a big deal at all thankfully (and saved the group $12!) and had a very nice MOMS meeting. We are doing a study on 'margins' and this was the 2nd half of the finance lesson. Then to the bank. We got our property tax rebate and we were putting it on the mtg principle, but that bank has messed our mtg up so many times, I go inside to do almost everything in regards to it. Then to the PO. Where an uncashed check fell out of my billfold so it was back to the bank!LOL I did learn that my Joey was in TWO papers for his participation in the library presentation last Friday! He asked the lady how to say 'grilled cheese sandwich' in German!ROTFL! I also learned that the forever stamps are sold in books. I thought they were only sold in rolls. Our MOMS group can not afford a roll of stamps, but a book we can do! I'm going to get 2-3 books for our own personal use the next time. Then to the grocery to get the last of items for the chili dinner. Finally we made it to Pizza Hut to cash in our Book It coupons. Then to the library for homeschool library and for the hour long hike to the church to prep the chili. I had some trepidation about sending Joey to the kid's event cuz they were leaving the church, but I told myself that they hadn't lost one yet so I let him go. They were buying things for a shelter, which is an outing that I really thought was worthwhile. After they left, the other guy and I got busy making chili. I brought my new chronology book of the bible cuz I am dying to dig into it nad I wasn't expecting anyone else there when I was there. However we were SO BUSY there was NO TIME! DH showed up about a half an hour later and got put to work. And a half an hour after that more trickled in. The chili was AWESOME! I really don't remember it being that good last time. Unfortunately, due to the cost of the chili, the weather and rescheduling of some events, the turn out was low and we didn't even break even! Oh well. I have always thought chili (w/as much meat as they add) is very expensive, but I've never said anything. Last night another lady said something so we decided that we will not do chili anymore. This is supposed to be a fundraiser and we only make money cuz of donations. The charge for the meal is minimal cuz it's also a service to the community, but anyway........... We discussed a potato bar or a taco bar. My sister suggested potato soup, which I think might go over well, too. Hopefully the remaining chili will be bought on Sunday from parishoners. So we left the house yesterday at 8:15 and rolled in at 9. Naturally, on a deserted stretch Joey annouces, I HAVE TO POOP NOW MOM! He had said so other times throught the day, but his attention would be taken elsewhere and he'd deny it. With an hour on the road ahead of us, I found the nearest restaurant and pulled in. Dh did show the lunar eclipse to Mat and Mat was still up at 10:15 so he got to see it in 'totality'. And from the comfort of the inside of our warm home.:) So we got the van all unloaded and put away and I moved the kitchen chairs (this guilts me into mopping in the morning sans excuse) and collapsed in bed. Needless to say, this morning, I have worked out, done the laundry (last load is ready to be hung), school is done, vacuumed, mopped, dusted, and cleaned the bathrooms. I still need to shower!LOL I also need to gather all my things for tomorrow's experiments. We have SEVEN! But some are super simple. I have hte plates cut up for the dental impressions and I think most of the rest of it ready to go. I just need to get everything for the breathing experiment. I also have a super easy meal of stir fry for supper. The chicken just needs heated and the veggies are in the freezer. So I'm looking forward to getting off my foot for the afternoon. it's still bothering me from that fall. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 344 of 1866 } { Next Page } |
