superglue and new paths....

Well I just tried to superglue my finger to the bongo drum.;) To top it off, this new boy at the co-op is quite vigorous in his friend approach. Today was the 3rd time he's met Mat. The other 2 times were at skating and I know the 1st time, he didn't talk to Mat at all (Mat introduced himself, but he had never skated and couldn't keep up w/the other skaters). He asked for Mat's phone number this morning and I gave it to him. As he was leaving he said that he'd call Mat as soon as he got home. I told him that we wouldn't be home for several hours. Well he just called. Twice. he wanted to get together tomorrow. I told Mat that we don't know anything about these ppla nd Mat really seemed ambivalent about the whole mess. So we told Mat that he could come over here. Later the boy asked for me to get our addy and said that it would be around noon or 1. Good, I wanted after lunch and picked up before supper. Well Mat comes out after hte phone call and said that he said something about coming over at 10:30!!!!!!! WHAT? So now I have no idea what's going on. Is it bad that I really odnt' want to deal w/this at all? Tomorrow is the 1st Sat in forever that we have NOTHING to do!!!!!

The bothersome part for me is that I heard the oby say that all of his other friends were mean. Makes me pause about HIM, not his friends, yk? Not saying he's lying, but......... ANd Mat said that he was talking about having been to China and nunchucks and chinese stars, etc (serious red flags going up about that time). Mat did say after hte phone call that the boy said that he really does NOT have those things. So we'll take this one day at a time. This is pretty new territory for all of us. Let the fun begin. This superglue on my thumb is driving me NUTS! The super sad part is aht I can't remember how I have gotten this off before. I think I just let it wear off.....

Try nail polish remover!

I've heard that superglue can be dissolved by nail polish remover! It's the same stuff that sticks sculptured nails on, so it has to come off with nail polish remover. Or the ladies in the salon would go nuts! LOL

my 9yr old (10yr in Sep) is now really into this friend thing, not to mention following them!! we've had hair discussions already. I really think this is an age that they are growing and maturing in many ways and we really gotta pray it through hard. My dh didn't grow up with a man/father figure who communicated in anyway and they were pretty much left on their own. So that is new territory for him. My family talks(ed) about everything and opinions, etc. So,both really need to be on the same page.
Praying with you for our little men and the discernment they need and will be learning about.
