Rough day......

Yesterday went downhill FAST! Mat's behavoir was far less than desirable and Joey wasn't far behind. I cleaned toothpaste off the carpet (it was on the bottom of Joey's PJs and there were blue spots every so often on the creme carpet) and puke off the carpet and tile.

About 5, I started w/a migraine. Those horrid storms wreaked havoc on my poor head and I was in bed most of the evening. And I was trying to get rid of it, but needed to sleep and couldn't for fear of tornadoes (when I sleep I am GONE and it's not safe) so I wound up being up well past midnight and heard the storm blow thru by then.

I just felt really badly for Mat cuz he has a good heart but does not always follow thru. About 6, he said that he was going make he and Joey's supper and me some chicken noodle soup. I was not remotely hungry but figured that I should eat. At 7:30, I come to and he'd done NOTHING! So at 7:45, Joey was shoveling chicken nuggets in so I could get him to bed and I think Mat ate those as well (I had nothing). Dh called about 10 and we talked some and he said that I am too hard on Mat. I know I am and I try really hard to back off, but then Mat does something and steam just blows out my ears. Plus I don't really know how a "normal" 10yo boy acts so I don't know if Mat's really that immature or if I"m expecting him to be an adult at 10yo old. OH well, that grief is for another day. I'm too tired to think about it now.

That meant today was off to a rough start.....I did not even pretend like I was going to workout. I had to blast  both boys out of bed at 8 and forgot to feed them bfast. I got everything packed and off we went. I was running just a teeny bit behind and the poor babysitter thought I"d forgotten her or something..... I wasn't THAT late (we were all still at the church before 9!). The MOMS group went to the coffeehouse and just sat and chatted. Very low key and that's what I needed. On the way back was when I remembered that I did not feed the boys so we went straight to lunch. From there we went to library so the boys could play computer games. The power went out shortly after we got there and wasn't expected to be back up until 3:30. So we had our homeschool Valentine's Day party in the dark!LOL I dropped off the gift to my neighbor and came home and unloaded. I did have a little scare. The lady I asked to sub for me for my anatomy class was to have my bag of teaching stuff there. It was not upstairs and I was ready to panic! But her DH had been seen downstairs and he'd left it there. WHEW!

So we are home and I've unloaded and done quite a bit. But I just feel like I"m spinning my wheels. I balanced the checkbook, put all of that stuff away, switched our purses (my other one was driving me NUTS! I couldn't find ANYTHING in it!), sorted out HS stuff, tried to balance the MOMS checkbook (I am missing a statement) and got caught up on necessary emails and have no idea what we are having for supper. I'm thinking microwaved baked potatoes......
