Mo trip!

Life here is crazy--just like home!LOL Yesterday we went to town in the broken-but-fixed-car. NOT!LOL We made it there fine and went to leave the bulk food store and it wouldn't budge from park. We get it out of park and head to another store. We get out of that store (where i landed tahini paste for hummus--GO ME!LOL) and we couldn't get the trunk to stay shut and then trying to get it out of park, it STRIPPED the gearshift!ROTFL!!!!!!! So we are stuck in town 30 min away. We had left the 3 boys and baby w/BIL and my dad so my dad brings the van in to pick us up (leaving the BIL w/them all). My brother finally gets in the loop and meets my dad somewhere and we went shopping!ROTFL!!!! We went around the little square of the town we were in. They finally show up and fix it and we get the working car nad they take off in the other one. This trip is WAY longer than we anticipated at this point we head straight home. We had called to check on the boys and BIl said that my niece (his dd) was out of sorts. Turns out HE DID NOT FEED HER!ROTFL!!!!!! poor thing! So we all get back and pack up to head to the hotel. Dumb (BIL) and Dumber (my brother) load up. Dumber says to take the back seat out of the 15 passenger van for more room. Dumb says that will make us a seat short. Dumber insists that it won't. Needless to say when we all piled in, Dumb won that contest!ROTFL!!! And to make matters worse, my poor BIL (whose nickname is sewer gas cuz of his emissions) had to sit on the partial seat and it REEKED. He claimed that his cheeks were spread and that he had no control over it!ROTFL! OH MY WORD! We were DYING!

But the hotel was great. the pool was the perfect size and my boys were old enuf to play while I sat in the hot tub.;) ANd no one else came to the pool either last night or this am. And this am, I worked out 20 min on the stairclimber--I did 51 flights! I was impressed w/myself!LOL

And we were all thrilled to BATHE at the hotel!!!!!! My brother lives in an old, old farm house and the septic system has a lot to be desired so we are conserving water........fun, fun, fun!LOL

SO tonight we eat out again and hang out tomorrow and head home in the afternoon. Dad has spoken of driving thru all night, but we have rooms reserved at FIL's if that falls thru!LOL

We have really been having a blast nad this has been a great time.

We also went to Ft. Scott today. VERY nice! Mat earned his Jr Ranger badge, too. I was pretty impressed w/him w/that.

Wow! It sounds like you guys are having a great time. Aren't big family vacations like this one so much fun? The kids will for sure have great memories of it for years and years. Have a safe trip home!! ~ Suzy

did you go on vacation? To Missouri?? If so where all did you go and where are ya'll from?? I know there are lots of us Missouri girls on here.. LOL
