Fun Fun Fun!

totally last minute, as FIL nad uncle were getting ready to go, DH says, well Mat could just go w/you since we are coming out (to spend the night on the way to my brother's) Wed! So we packed Mat up and off he went! FIL only has one meeting and DH's niece is getting a presentation by one of the boards that FIL is on for winning an essay contest so there will be family there anyway. We only sent LA and math w/him--that's plenty of school to try to do. We told FIL that when he needed to do bookwork to have Mat do his school. I impressed upon Mat that he would be responsible for himself largely and that this would be a good time to show us how mature he is.

AND, as if that wasn't shocking enuf, Dh said that he wanted to pick out a day to go to the Creation Musuem (in KY) AND what mountain was it and when to go to that! (Joey wants to see Mt. Denali, which is in Alaska so we are settling on Gatlinburg!LOL) WOW! So we picked the day for the museum and Dh will look at some dates in May for the mountains.

I also think we've nixed going to Vegas. His really good friend just sent us a wedding announcement. She told us at Christmas that they were talking of getting married on Leap Day, but we weren't really sure. Guess they were serious!LOL Airfare is a killer. I think I found $200/person roundtrip, but then we have the room adn stuff. If we could've had time to plan for it, it'd be a bit different. DH said that we didn't do anything as a family last year cuz he used his time w/his mom (he wasn't regretting that--just a fact) and that he wanted to have more family time this year. So unless we get some super cheap airfare (and I don't know that we'd find much under $200), then I don't think we are going to go.

And my super advanced niece is crawling!ROTFL! We totally joke about it, they can tell when she's having a bm and they stick her on the potty. She was born in June!LOL But it's one less dipe to clean up........
