How fun!

OHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY WORD!!!!!!!! Last night was by far the BEST time I've EVER had at one of his work functions! I told him they need to have retirement parties more often. I think EVERYONE had tears just running down their faces from laughing so hard!!!!!!! These two clowns in charge are totally unstable to begin with--let alone assign something like this for them to do!LOL They did some Johnny Carson mimmick where they wrote something on the outside of the envelope and then they opened them up and read what they meant. So for example, there is this 'young' guy (32ish) that totally sucks up to the retiree. The envie said '4 minutes'. How long it takes retiree to get Scott in his car seat before they can go somewhere!ROTFL!!!!!!!!! Then they did 'Abraham Lincoln squeaks'. What happens when retiree and Dh pinch pennies!ROTFL!!!!!! Dh was laughing so hard that he couldn't even talk! Of course, delivery was part of the funniness, but it was still a riot. Then one of them put together a powerpoint presentation for him. The retiree was a very antimated speaker and gave them LOTS to work w/in pics of him! Call me if you want to hear some of them. I was CRACKING UP!

The food was pretty good. We had squid, calamari, crab cakes, and shrimp for apetizers. I liked all of that so I decided to order some seafood. I got shrimp scampi and did not care for it. But the giant asparagus and mashed potatoes rocked!LOL And they did dessert family style so they bring out (for each table) a HUGE caramel brownie sundae, creme brulee and cherry cheesecake. YUM!!!!!!!! We stayed almost 4 hours and I think I laughed most of that time! And we were seated at ROUND tables so no one had to turn their back to talk to anyone!

More importantly, the house was standing and everyone was accounted for when we returned!LOL Today has been pretty fun. I was obviously not overly prepared for company so lunch today was 4 cheeseburgers, a package of some kind of brats (angel food), a bag of scalloped potatoes, a box of pasta salad, a tube of biscuits (cuz we only had 4 slices of bread!LOL), and a qt of pears!LOL
