Are you SERIOUS??????

My Dh never fails to surprize me. I've been sick this week and gotten virtually NOTHING accomplished. Fine. That happens. However w/the arrival of his dad and uncle today, I had a list a mile long to accomplish and I knew that I still needed to take it a bit easy since I"m still recovering. I called my mom last night to tell her that FIL is definitely coming so she does not need to watch the boys for us tonight. She said that she and my sister were probalby going to stop by. Ok great. I told her that I had leftover cheesy potato soup that they could have for lunch. She asked what I was serving FIL and the gang for supper tonight. Ummmmmmmm, I seriously hadn't even THOUGHT that out. FIL was still on the phone w/Dh so I asked to talk to him when they were done. In the end Fil said he'd just make bacon and eggs or the like. I mentioned this to Dh who said that he'd take them out. I said that FIL said he didn't really want to drive any more today so he'd just make them something. DH acted a little put out that I was not making them something. I found a crock pot meal in the freezer  (Chicken and dumplings) so I decided I'd use a crock pot liner and make that and they wouldnt' have much clean up and a decent meal.

I wake up early this am to realize that I have a fever blister! Now, because I'm soooooo special, I don't get the normal, run of the mill ones, I get these monsterous things that literally cause a sore on half of whichever lip. It spends a week growing and takes 2 weeks to clear up. Thankfully I typically only get them once a year. And I guess I should've seen it coming w/my body in the state that it was in. So I have a mountain of work facing me, a fever blister, I'm tired, a long night ahead of me at DH's work dinner and over night company for 2 nights. Dh did ask how I felt. Then he said, "Well, it's -4 out so today would be a good day to clean the oven." ARE YOU SERIOUS?????????? I told him I was NOT cleaning teh oven! yes, it would be a good day, but it's not happening!

So I've mopped, worked out, cleaned up the basement, vacuumed, made the bfast casserole, have the meal in the crock pot going, took the lint brush to my good coat, have the 4th load of laundry (of 5) in the washer, adn both boys have school done. I still have some picking up to do in the kitchen, but that's it. I'm done. DH said he'd be home between 3 and 4 (which is 4 to 5 in our world) so I'll need to have that done by then. In the mean time, I'm going to wait to see if my mom and sister are coming and possibly even lay down and read. My body is obviously telling me to SLOW DOWN. Why does no one but me hear it???????

You poor thing. I'm sorry you've been so sick. Only you could be under the weather and still get all that accomplished this morning!!
