I got to sleep in my own bed........

That's always nice. My pillows stilled smelled like the ILs house tho!LOL I was so tired that I did not care!

Karen~NO! I was not thrilled w/my outfit! I was goign to pack the new shirt AND my trusty white one, but DH packed up stuff when I wasn't home so I FORGOT (I knew the hanging clothes on the door handle would remind me!LOL). The shirt did NOT look right at all w/the suit. I referred to it as my 'man' shirt cuz that's how I felt in it!LOL It's a cute shirt and will work for me, but NOT w/that suit. Of course if I had known how other ppl were going to dress, I'd have grabbed one of those summer dresses and my shrug even tho it was FREEZING! BUT I did notice ALOT of ppl in black!LOL I'd say about 1/2 of them were!

A few more notes about the wedding. It was in a cathedral and was nearly ethereal! It was just beautiful sitting in there for the wedding! But at the reception, outside of hte fun I had w/one of DH's friends, I got to talk to this one cousin's wife. I've probably met her before, but I know I have never talked to her. We very rarely see this side of the family--the last time was at GMIL's funeral (10/01). So I didn't know who she was married to (until she sat down by her DH!LOL), how many kids, etc. BUT they knew all about us and our kids! I HATE THAT! It's not cuz I dont' try. NO ONE EVER TELLS ME! MIL is just as bad as DH! FIL calls DH every Sunday so he usually finds out all kinds of things that I never know about!LOL At any rate, (they are all Catholic), turns out she was raised Baptist! Here I thought I was the only Protestant amoung them!LOL But she also likes gardening!!!!! She was telling me she vacuum seals her stuff instead of canning. It was interesting, but her DH is so picky about the yard that he won't let her have a garden! I told her I understood, but since we have acres and not a lot size to deal w/, I got a garden!LOL So she asked what all we grew. ANYTHING I CAN GET MY HANDS ON!LOL But I did tell her about last summer. I don't know how alot of you can, but for me, for tomatoes, I basically can once a week for 4 weeks straight an then I'm typically done w/tomatoes. Sometimes I do a small batch of something (if it doens't require the squeezo type device I have), but for the most part, we just can tomatoes one day a week. We pick the night before so I just get up and start canning. Well this one day last year, I had 7.5 five gallon buckets of tomatoes. That's 210 lbs (yes, I weighed them) for anyone wondering. About an hour or so into washing and cutting, I realized i was in WAY over my head and called my mom to help me! She and Mat washed and cut from 10-1 or 2ish. I don't remember. I just know i was trying to do that and run all the pots on the stove, the squeezo and the canner outside and I was getting NOTHING done. So they did that and I ran all the rest and it was like 11 that night (i started at 7am) before I got done (mom left around 3 since I was fine then--I had huge mounds of washed and cut tomatoes waiting on me, but at least they were done!). I don't remember waht all we put up, but woudn up doing mainly juice since it was the fastest. And I don't really need to can any juice this year!LOL But it was fun to talk aobut and made me anxious for this growing season to get here! I'll be doing lots of spaghetti sauce and salsa again! Dh INHALES salsa so we can alot (for us) of that.

Ok, I've worked out and I hear the 2nd load spinning so I need to get load #3 ready......

You got me craving tomatoes! I'd love to know how you make your salsa and spaghetti sauce. What a great way to use all those tomatoes! Glad you got to sleep in today. I'm sure your outfit looked great...man-shirt and all! LOL!!!
