MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

My brother and his family adn my sister and her family have left. My parents are here for another night. FIL is not coming.

We are partied out tho! Joey got pink eye Saturday! The ped didn't make us come in and phoned in an abx. By the time DH got off work and got to a pharmacy that had the drops, it was in both Joey's eyes....The family came anyway. We ate the soup (my sister's celery/potato soup was amazing!) and headed out to the 'lights'. It was quite a hike to get there (well over an hour) but totally worth it! Turns out it's a "Walk Thru the Bible"! Wooden cut bibical scenes w/scriptures and TONS of lights! It was soooooooo pretty. And there were speakers everywhere that played carols and scripture passages! Free hot chocolate, cookies, entertainment and they have animals for you to see. There is also a B&B there and primitive cabins that you can rent. Dh KNOWS this guy and I could just STRANGLE him for not having ever mentioned ANY of this sooner! Plus the weather was in the 50s so it was mild and PERFECT for this. The place was mobbed too! Then back home for a some games. And food. And more food!LOL

Sunday was fairly mellow. My mom, dad and Mat went back to church to do a few things. Joey woke up yelling that he couldn't see. His eyes were gunked shut!LOL So the day started early at 6, but oh well..... Joey's eyes were MUCH better by that point. We ate a leisurely bfast and everyone kind of messed around. I think we played more games--but I can't remember!LOL I know we ATE! We got out all the dips and chips and went to town. When my parents and Mat got back, we opened gifts. The boys Christmas program was that night so we managed to eat the enchiladas and get ready and be there on time. Only it was running late so we could've been late!LOL I wasn't sure how Joey would do really given the lack of sleep and pink eye, but it was OK. SIL game him a piece of gum prior to the performance so when it was Joey's turn to speak, he didn't have his lines and shrugged his shoulders. So he used the director's line and she made him spit his gum out in her hand!!!!! There was another boy w/a lamb and cane and he had the cane around his neck!LOL It was a riot! But a very cute performance. We went downstairs afterwards for refreshments and they weren't set out! So I got busy doing that w/a couple of other ppl. Then back home where we played Farmopoly and my brother trounced us all!LOL Then a game of horse. It was a VERy late night for us!

Today was nice. Everyone got around to getting up. Joey was up half the night and consequently so were DH and I and Dh came in and asked me about the french toast casserole and I saw that it was 8:30!!!! So it was 10 before bfast was ready. And they all packed up and left. So then I got started cleaning.;) Lots of laundry and picking up and floors and such.

My dad brought some huge ham so that's going to be supper. Good thing cuz I hadn't planned that far in advance. He wants ham and eggs for bfast in the morning and thats' fine too. I can't stand ham, but everyone else likes it so it will be great. We have cinnamon rolls for in the morning as well.

This afternoon my dad took Mat to town. I was hoping that Joey would nap, but no dice. He finally turned on PBS and I locked the bedroom door and finished up wrapping and sorting. I still need for DH to sort thru the stuff we got at the toy store so that we get the right stuff from the right ppl. Dh had to work today so I know he's dead and I"ll be the one getting up in the middle of the night to set stuff out. I'm hoping that Mat's so tired that he's asleep by 10, but I'm not holding my breath.
