family messes and weddings......

I don't think i mentioned the whole kid/wedding thing. Dh planned on going to his cousin's weddign in IL this weekend. Kids were NOT on the invite, but no one paid any attention. MIL was spreading rumors that kids were NOT invited. And this was going one of two ways. She was either bored and needed to stir something up OR she KNEW kids were not and owuldn't tell us cuz she figured DH wouldn't come. I mean everyone we know will be AT THE WEDDING! Of course she never called the groom's SIL , etc, etc. So Dh got fed up w/it today adn called the groom's brother (his other cousin!LOL). Now these are cousins we know pretty well. And they are the kids of FIL's brother who has mad a complete fool of himself and now has nothing to do w/the family. I think it's pretty vital that as many of us as possible go to show these kids some support. I think MIL might be the godmother of the groom. Anyway, he said kids are NOT invited, but that his dd is the flowergirl (Joey's age) adn that we could bring our kids so Reagan would have someoen to play with. I told DH this was HIS family and i really could care less one way or the other and this it was HIS decision cuz I wans't going to get blamed for anything!LOL And as far as I am concerned, we got the green light from the groom's brother so it's fine.

Should be a blast.................

Boy, brings back memories of my brother's wedding! His wife's family insisted that every wedding they've ever been to the kids are not invited to the reception and that's just the way that it should be. We said they were c-r-a-z-y. Hope you don't catch some flak from bringing the boys with!
