Bummer..........

Well, for as much as I LOVE the cultural center, today was a pretty big dissappointment.;( It was billed as a turtle photography and other wildlife. We did not take ONE PIC OF THEIR TURTLES! Most of the 18 children were 5 or under! This was billed for 8yo+! So they colored a picture, made a turtle frame from modelling clay and the last 15 min were given a digital camera and allowed to take 10 total pics/family!!!!!!!!!!!!! She did initially try to go over balance, composition, etc, but it was obviously WAY over most of their heads. I was just pretty peeved when they didn't even get to take pics of the live turtles that they had. Mat was pretty dissappointed too.

The tree thing went well. Ppl were not paying attention to the children and I don't think anyone even heard Mat's poem.:( He said the mic was off. I don't know. It was cute tho. And they had real lamps burning in Wilbur's home and lots of really cute trees and HUGE villages set up everywhere. Not shabby entertainment given that the boys meals were free so Dh and I only had to pay for ourselves and there was no admission charge for this event.
