my boys and their thoughts......

On the way to town yesterday:

J: I want to go to a mountain.

M: Well we can't go to Everestt cuz the oxygen is too thin and it takes a long time to get ready to go.

Me: (thinking practically) Well maybe we can get daddy to go to Gatlinburg in the spring.

J: I want to go to Mount Denali.

Me: (knowing this was ringing a bell, but couldn't place it) Where is that at?

J: On the map.

Sorry, but I was just CRACKING UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joey did get to spend some time w/daddy last night, which was nice. They shared the ice cream. But this am, JOey crawled into bed and asked if daddy was gone already. Then was slightly upset cuz he wanted to lay w/daddy.

Mat: Mom why couldn't we get one of those door looks w/numbers (keypad)? Those are cool. That way you wouldn't have to worry about loosing a key. Only your mind.

Me: Trust me, with you yahoos around, I'm far more apt to loose my mind before my key........

Alyssa was devistated the other day during homeschool because she says she wants to go to Mt. Everest and climb it. I told her someday but not until she was over 20. She flipped out saying when she was 15! I said sorry not when you are in my house. she said I just want to TRY it! I can do it! I said but people die trying to climb it. She insisted they just did not climb fast enough and she could do it! oh the minds of these kids.
