Here is the view into the loft from the LR:

Yes, that area under the steps is TRASHED! I'm hoping some of that goes into the basement and I'm not sure about the bookshelves. They are very accessible to the kids there, but I don't like the clutter there. So they might go in the basement. They might also go up in the empty spot in the loft area.

And I can't believe I am posting this pic as this is the nastiest room in the house:

But this is the loft. See my computer on the left? The boys is on the right. In front of the floor lamp is where the rocker and ottoman used to be (taht's now downstairs w/the other matching furniture!LOL) There are little 1/2/ (1/3???) attic doors on each side so access the attic. And I did just move some more junk up here to clear out the downstairs!LOL

Hey, I think your house looks pretty good. I was looking at under the loft and I said that looks pretty neat for having kids ....and then you talk about it being trashed LOL! Love the woodwork.

I agree with kayinpa, your loft looks really good to me!! I am really ashamed of my house now.... :0( Good thing the kids are off for a week, I think they'll be glad to get back to school when we are finished cleaning!!! LOL.

I love it when folks put photos on their blog! And your house has such pretty wood! My den and hall are getting a face lift as we speak! That dark paneling is going to be "Bleached Almond"! :o) Keep posting! I visit you every day.
