Oh the reason for the "K" is that I want this to be an heirloom piece. I'm also going to have cherry recipe boxes made for the 3 of us girls. ALong the lid of that, I'll have a contrast wood set in about 1" in (the contrast wood would be about 1/4" wide--sort of like a frame or mat) around it and then in the lower right corner a flower. I think I"m going to pick 3 different flowers for each of us. I know Dama loves roses and Jamie like magnolias, but I"m going to ask my brother about that. I don't knwo what flower i'd want. That way they'd all be alike, but a bit different. My grandaddy left a whole bunch of cherry wood (he was to make me a bedroom suite out of it) and nothings ever been done w/it.
